Volunteers, contributions wanted to help IPR liveblog party conventions and meetings

Some people have expressed appreciation for the liveblogging I did at Virginia and Arkansas LP conventions, Bylaws and LNC.

I would like to do some more of this but as of right now can not afford any more trips. I’d love to see some other IPR writers and readers liveblog some of these conventions and committees instead of or in addition to me. So far it seems it is mainly me, although Starchild and Nick Sarwark helped with the Bylaws and LNC meetings and Darryl Perry liveblogged from NH yesterday (thanks everyone!). In addition to live blogs we are looking for livestream, twitter feeds, photos, video clips, links to coverage elsewhere – really anything you can find on any of the state conventions or national committee meetings (this applies to other alt parties also, not only Libertarians).

If you are able to cover or help cover any of these events please let us know (my contact info is at the end), and if you are not already an IPR writer we could either make you one or set you up with a post to provide coverage in the comments as I and others did at the other recent meetings. Alternatively, I would like to travel to some more of these events to keep doing the coverage myself as well, but can’t do it nearly as much as I would like unless I can raise a travel budget for that purpose.

As of this time I am personally hoping to make LP events:

MS – April 4-6
TX – April 11-13
NY – April 26
IN – Platform Committee, early May
AL – May 10
FL – May 16-18
Columbus – Jun 26-29

But realistically I will have to cut out most of these without some financial help.

So I’m hoping some of you will:

1) Cover some of these (and others: http://www.lp.org/blogs/staff/2014-state-conventions) <-- let us know ahead of time if you can help, if possible;2) Donate to help me get to some of them to cover them instead of you.Either or both would be great. Thanks!paulie 415-690-6352 [email protected] https://www.facebook.com/paulie.cannoli

CA and NJ too but I guess it works better when I am here to post the threads at least. I was tabling at a gun show all day and left before 6 AM to get there and just got back.

I’ve put up as thread for you, Nicholas.

I’ll report (but probably not liveblog) from the California convention.

If someone has time, a Colorado convention thread would be nice. Details about the convention are available here. I had a great time at Cocktails with the Candidates last night and may or may not have sung some karaoke. Candidate nominations start this morning in a couple of hours.

I went to the LP website, and it looks like there will be a convention in CA, NJ, and Colorado this weekend.

Wow, I used to be able to keep up with all the conventions and things. I guess I need to pay more attention.

I think Pennsylvania has their convention this weekend, also.”

LP of PA Convention was several weeks ago. They nominated Ken Krawchuk to run for Governor.

LP of Wisconsin Convention is the weekend of April 12th.

I may be down there, not sure yet. I’ll be in Mississippi and Alabama and see what else I can do if anything. Texas and Florida are becoming reach goals at this point.

Good, Mike. I think lots of us are watching Florida.

  11. Mike Kane March 28, 2014

I will gladly live blog from the convention in Tampa here in FL.

I’ll be at Colorado this weekend, but I may be limited in what I can do during candidate nominations, since I’m acting Campaigns Director at present.

We’re also looking for people to cover Colorado and NJ this weekend and other states after that.

  14. Jill Pyeatt March 27, 2014

Well, I’ve encountered a problem, so it doesn’t look like I’ll be able to blog the convention in California this weekend. I’m sooo disappointed, but maybe someone else will be able to do it

I can commit to blogging California’s convention at the end of the month. I’ll be reserving a hotel room tonight.

One last try for people who read comments only but not articles.

This is just the article text reposted.
