Andy Craig Releases First Campaign Ad

U.S. Congressional candidate Andy Craig of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, has released his first campaign ad in the 2016 race which will pit him against incumbent Democrat Gwen Moore.

Craig, who recently celebrated his 25th birthday and is now constitutionally eligible to run for Congress, is chair of the Milwaukee Libertarian Party, Secretary of the Libertarian Party of Wisconsin, and a co-host of the popular internet radio program “The Old Dominion Libertarian Radio Network.” He ran for Wisconsin Secretary Of State in 2014 receiving about 60,000 votes.

The campaign ad, which is titled: “Stop Over Criminalization,” can be seen below.

    B+ for the static ad, C for the vid.

    Some feedback:

    Big fan of AC, but as advertising, this could use some work. The term probably should be hyphenated…stop over-criminalization.

    It’s a complex issue that doesn’t lend itself to sparse word blurbs, or sentences, even. I’m not sure that those unfamiliar with this issue will get it, much less find it compelling.

    Personally, I find the concept that the US is 5% of the world’s pop, but has 25% of the world’s prisoners more compelling vs the point about no one knowing how many laws are on the books.

    The line “We need Representatives who will…” makes sense, but would it make more sense to say something like “AC will…”

    I’ll have more videos to come, including voice-over narration and appearing myself. This was really just a rough first attempt to put one of my infographic memes into a video format. I intend to get some of them down into :30 or maybe even :15 clips that can be used for targeted youtube and online ads.
