Jim Condit Jr. was the Constitution Party’s candidate for the 8th congressional district in 2014. In that race, he received 10,257 votes, or 5.45% of the total. Condit Jr. is running again as the Constitution Party candidate in 2016. He is also running as the Green Party candidate in a special election on June 7th, 2016 to replace former Speaker of the House John Boehner, who resigned in October 2015. He was a friend of the late former congressman James Traficant, who ran as an independent candidate for his old congressional seat after being released from prison in 2010 and captured 16% of the vote.
Condit Jr. is somewhat known for a documentary he did that allegedly shows a “Nazi-Zionist” connection and questions whether Hitler had Jewish ancestry. From YouTube:

That is certainly interesting that Condit Jr. does not have the backing of the Green Party, though it is not surprising. It is fair to say that just pointing to this article, Condit Jr. could be arguably considered a controversial figure.
I wonder what high ranking Constitution Party figures and each of the three main CP presidential candidates think of him? Obviously, Condit Jr. would be considered to be “anti-Zionist” and certainly not pro-Israel. I wouldn’t exactly say that the Constitution Party is “pro-Zionist,” (I think it would be a slight stretch to say that), but they definitively seem to be most pro-Israel than any of “big three” third parties (Greens, LP and CP). Remember, many CP rank and file view the world through a Biblical lens (whatever their particular Christian domination may happen to be), and they see Israel as God’s Chosen Land and morally support the Israeli cause with regards to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, even if they are formally non-interventionist with regards to foreign policy and may even believe no taxpayer money should go to the state of Israel. Two Constitution Party presidential candidates, J.R. Myers and Scott Copeland, profess to subscribe to “Judeo-Christian” values on their respective campaign websites, which would undoubtedly conflict with Condit Jr.’s views. This race is only somewhat notable because it is an election (first special and then regularly scheduled) to replace Speaker John Boehner. I will be interested to see if any notable Constitution Party member, including the main three individuals running for president, will comment on fellow party member Condit Jr.’s opinion of Hitler’s alleged Jewish ancestry and a supposed “Nazi-Zionist” connection.
In the grand scheme of things, however, I don’t think Condit Jr. really matters as far as the CP is concerned. I find it unlikely that his Hitler video will generate any media coverage, whether mainstream or local. CP leaders and candidates could easily ignore Jim Condit Jr. and no one would think twice about it.
If he’s a thief, he should fit in quite well with the Green Party. 😉
He is in no way “THE” Green Party candidate. That implies that he somehow has the backing of the Green Party. He does NOT. He has stolen our line. We have worked incredibly hard in the Green Party to maintain our ballot line. Our candidate had to get 3% of the vote in the last gubenatorial election, and it took an enormous effort by Greens all over the State to do that. None of the other minor parties in Ohio, including the Constitution Party were able to do so. Rather than doing the necessary work to get the Constitution Party on the ballot, Mr. Condit felt that it was easier just to steal our line. From what I see, he does not support our Values of Ecological Wisdom, Non-Violence, Grass Roots Democracy, or Social Justice. In my opinion as a long time Green, and as the Green Party candidate for U.S. Senate in Ohio, this was a sleazy act. That makes Mr. Condit a sleazeball.
I wonder how the Ohio GP feels about him running in their party?
He will be on the Green Line, and Constitution is not on in Ohio.

In other words, in the special election he’s using the Green Party’s ballot access, in the actual general election he’s running with the Constitution Party.
Shouldn’t the title be “Green Party candidate…” or “former Constitution Party candidate…”?
