According to LP News, LP state conventions are taking place this weekend in WA, WI, KS, and UT. I’m putting this post up a bit late for liveblogging, although that is still welcome in the comments if any of the conventions are continuing tomorrow (Sunday). If anyone has after the fact reports, links to coverage elsewhere (including social media accounts), or links to videos or photos from any of these, please post in the comments.
So far, all I have seen is that Ms. Kris Logan is replacing long time state chair Rob Hodgkinson in Kansas.
The next two weekends will also be busy with LP state conventions. Next weekend: CA, MD, MN, NY; the following weekend: FL, IN, OH, AK and WV. After that, assuming all the listings are complete and correct (corrections and additions are also welcome in the comments), there is a break until KY on Jun 23-5.
Hopefully, I or another IPR editor will remember to put up this type of thread for next weekend’s conventions before they happen. If anyone attending any of those can help us cover them please let us know in the comments.

I hope they were delicious. Cheers!

That was the less important issue. The bigger one is whatever context you may wish to add.
Well I missed the mention. My error.
MHW, thanks, but scroll up; that was already reported in this thread. Do you have some commentary about it beyond general disapproval?
I’m not fond of reporting this, but Washington State failed to have a quorum needed to conduct a convention.
Thanks Nick! BTW, how and why did it come about that you literally drank the tears of your enemies and who were they?
Phil Anderson elected Chair, Peter Augelli Vice Chair, Secretary Tyler Danke, Treasurer Patrick Baird, At Large 1 and 2 Nathan Gall and Chris Nass.
From Phil’s post on Facebook:
” The Libertarian Party of Wisconsin 2017 Convention was a GREAT SUCCESS! Thanks to the entire LPWI, but especially those who worked so hard to organize and execute- Nathan Gall, Robert Burke, Patrick Baird, Tyler Danke, to name a few.
Thanks to Nicholas J. Sarwark for coming to speak, and for being such a pleasant travelling companion. Sam Anderson and I greatly appreciate the time spent in the car. And by the way, folks, I witnessed Nick LITERALLY drinking the Tears of his Enemies. And I do mean LITERALLY.
Also thanks to Glenn Klein, and Professor Joseph Daniels of Marquette University, for presenting and participating. You did a great job, and LPWI is just a bit better for your contributions.
Thanks to Miles Kristan for the massive amount of video shot, interviews done, and pictures taken.
Thanks to Paul Ehlers and His Awesome Band (which is accurate, but I don’t think it’s the band’s real name).
Congratulations to the newly elected Executive Committee: myself, Peter Augelli, Patrick Baird, Tyler Danke, Chris Nass, Nathan Gall, Jason Lebeck, Jim Sewell, Adam Grassnickle, Sasha Anderson (my daughter, of whom I’m SO proud, 19 y/o member of the ExCom!), Jeremy Bork, Anthony Morris, Andy Craig, Dini Nelson, Jeff Kortsch, Terry Virgil, Brian Defferding, Adam Markert, Robert Burke, Trevor Massey, Dustin Dreifuerst, and Bill Jacobsen.
Congrats and thank you to those listed above who also agreed to serve as committee chairs, including Holly Lebeck, and Matthew Bughman.
We have a lot of work to do, but the right people in place to do it.
Hope I’m not forgetting anyone, or anything. Except the new logo. Sorry, Adam Markert.
Lastly: much is made of caucuses and categories within the LP, and within the LPWI. We have come through a period of difficulty and stress, where such subdivisions could have contributed to further dysfunction. But that didn’t happen, and is a credit to everyone tagged above, and many more.
To illustrate, I’d like to point out that the LPRC WI endorsed a candidate for chair, who was wearing a Gary Johnson hat, and a candidate for treasurer, who while being endorsed, was one floor below us organizing the Pragmatic Caucus.
We are all THAT Libertarian. The LPWI is THAT state party.
Congratulations to all of you, and I look forward to a fantastic 2 years serving you.”
Anyone know what happened @WI?
It will be in Santa Clara, which is apparently by San Jose.
Where is the CA LP convention this year?
CA is this upcoming weekend. I won’t be going.
Also saw something on FB about RI being May 20, which was not in the LP news listing.
Caryn Ann on FB:
“WA post-mortem – fantastic convention (well they didn’t get quorum so no business conducted) but great speakers. ”
There was more to her comment but it involved caucus business so I don’t know if it was meant for wider distribution.
Libertarian Party of Kansas Executive Committee results:
Kris Logan, Chair
Ric Koehn, Treasurer
Heather Toot, 2nd District Coordinator
Victoria French, 4th District Coordinator
All candidates ran unopposed and all votes were unanimous.
Congratulations, Joe!
