North Carolina Forward Party to Host Virtual Town Hall with Andrew Yang and Rep. Don Davis

The North Carolina Forward Party will host a virtual town hall this week featuring members of the party’s leadership and a discussion on national plans for the 2026 election cycle.

“Join us for a powerful hour of conversation, strategy, and community with Forward-aligned leaders shaping the future of politics in North Carolina and beyond,” event advertising shared this week states.

The town hall is scheduled for Wednesday, August 14, at 7:00 p.m. local time. Topics are expected to include the national Forward Party’s 2026 election strategy, party successes over the past two years, and a question-and-answer session with national and state leaders. The event is open to the public, with registration information available on the state party’s website.

Special town hall guest speakers will include Andrew Yang, co-founder of the national Forward Party, and U.S. Rep. Don Davis of the party’s Forward Affiliate program. Davis, a Democrat representing North Carolina’s First Congressional District, was first elected to Congress in 2022 and became an affiliate member in late 2024 after signing the Forward Party’s candidate pledge.

The state party also plans to announce upcoming events for the organization, including participation in Charlotte Pride Day this weekend. Following the town hall, members of the state leadership will hold an open discussion with attendees.
