The United Independents will host a live virtual event titled “Reclaiming Our Hijacked Nation” on Thursday, September 18, featuring advocates and party leaders from across the political spectrum. The panel is part of a new discussion series by the organization.
The event will begin at 7:00 PM ET and will be streamed on X and the United Independents website. Audience participation will be encouraged, with the second half of the event open for questions and discussion. Registration for participating is free and available through the organization’s website.

The program is the first in a new bi-monthly broadcast series and is being organized in partnership with Our House ‘26, a legislative initiative launched by United Independents earlier this year. The initiative’s goal is to identify and elect five to fifteen independent legislators to Congress in order to establish an influential voting bloc. A similar project called Operation Phoenix was first announced by the organization in late 2024 with the same objectives.
Announced panelists include Kerry Healey, Executive Chair of the Forward Party and former Lieutenant Governor of Massachusetts; Angela McArdle, former Chair of the Libertarian National Committee; John Opdycke, President of Open Primaries; Christopher Life, founder of United Independents; and Karla Ballard, the 2020 independent vice‑presidential candidate who ran alongside cryptocurrency advocate Brock Pierce. Their ticket appeared on 15 state ballots and earned just under 50,000 votes.
According to promotional outreach, the conversation will explore barriers facing independent candidates and reformers, and why organizers believe the moment presents an opportunity for the independent movement to reclaim the nation. Topics will include strategies for overcoming obstacles, recent public sentiment toward the two-party system, and the coalition-building efforts behind the Our House ‘26 campaign.
Moderators for the discussion include Life; Jennifer Esteban, Director of Operations at United Independents; and Ryan Rabah, an attorney and former Vice President of the We The People Party of North Carolina, who was associated with the independent presidential campaign of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. during the 2024 election cycle.
