American Capitalist Party Releases New Inaugural Convention Details

The American Capitalist Party has released new details about its inaugural national convention taking place this September in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The party has also begun distributing invitations to the event.

The party first announced plans for a national convention in December, with early details limited to a tentative date and host site. The convention will be the party’s first since its launch in early 2025.

In its April newsletter, the party said preparations are ongoing and confirmed that the convention will take place September 19 and 20 at the Marriott Pittsburgh City Center. While it has not released a full agenda, the party said members and leadership will meet to discuss the future of the organization and advance its stated focus on individual liberty and free-market principles.

Party bylaws stipulate that several items of business must take place at the convention, including officer reports, the election of national officers, consideration of resolutions, and potential candidate endorsements for the upcoming election cycle.

Being the inaugural convention, it will also include the designation of initial state delegates, who must meet eligibility requirements related to residency, voter eligibility, and participation in at least eight of the party’s 12 most recent meetings. Delegates selected at the convention would serve until their state holds a subsequent primary or caucus.

The party also identified several featured speakers, including Kiyah Willis, a writer with the Objective Standard Institute; Jonathan Hoenig, an investment manager and financial commentator; and Carlos Rebollo, a Connecticut-based entrepreneur and founder of Freedom Braids who is involved in reentry advocacy and mentorship. Party Chair Mark Pellegrino and Vice Chair Michael Liebowitz are also expected to address the convention.

The party has opened general registration for the event, with attendance available for a fee and discounted rates offered to party members in good standing. Membership is limited to individuals who have disaffiliated from other political parties for at least six months and paid the required dues under party rules.
