Robert Milnes leaves the LP

Robert Milnes, a self-proclaimed Presidential candidate and popular blog commenter, has announced that he is leaving the Libertarian Party. I received this email earlier today:

To whom it may concern, With this letter I hereby withdraw my membership in the Libertarian Party. I intend to change my voter registration to Independent consistent with an Independent campaign for the Presidency. RWM.

Milnes, it would seem, plans to continue his “campaign” for President as an independent… trying to rally Libertarians and Progressives behind his cause.

Since they cut the trees down they have been shooting microwaves. Protection is a must. I have found multiple Bs to work well without a prescription.

You’re asking these established people to be your Vice-Presidential candidate?

What if they refuse? Will you accept someone else?

While I think the whole Progressive Alliance strategy is misguided at best and the picture of Milnes on his site makes him look like a serial killer, I at least support everyone’s option to run for any political office.

I am presently asking Smith, Ruwart & Kwiatkowski & possibly Nancy Lord Johnson & Jo Jorgensen to be vp.

Why are you wasting electrons on this? Some things fall off the radar for a reason. 😉

Oh for crying out loud. I’m as disappointed by this as anyone else and think many of the delegates should have their heads examined, but this is childish.

Robert – Why not go for the GP nomination? If you can win at the GP convention, I will give you $2,300 and pledge my full support.
