Wikinews reports than peace activist and independent congressional Cindy Sheehan has secured the endorsement of the San Francisco Green Party in her quest to unseat House Speaker Nancy Pelosi from California’s 8th district:

Florida’s Herald Tribune writes about three “mystery candidates” who filed for Florida legislative races “in the last hours before Friday’s noon deadline.” The three “entered three of the most heated races in the state for incumbents,” and the “suspicion among some Tallahassee folks is that the candidates representing the left-leaning party were entered by Republicans solely to siphon off a few votes from the Democrats.”…
