Colombian Green freed

According to a report at the BBC, Ingrid Betancourt has been freed from her captivity at the hands of the FARC, a formerly revolutionary movement now fallen into narcotics trafficking. Betancourt was the presidential candidate of El Partido Verde/Oxigeno . Her campaign manager, Clara Rojas, was freed on January 10th of this year.

Ms. Betancourt sent her children to live in New Zealand before her run for President of Colombia because she feared for their safety. More as news becomes available.

This is a great day for Greens across the globe.
