I agree with voluntary labeling. While he doesn’t make it explicit here, Ralph Nader has a long history of pushing for making it mandatory.

Gregg, let the businesses self regulate and if labeling is important to consumers, let those consumers buy only products that are labeled. Better than using government violence to force businesses to label – and using money which is violently stolen from taxpayers to enforce such violent coercion.

that would be well and fine, Gregg, but we alread know that Ralph Nader supports regulation in this area.

paulie…I didn’t see this as a call for regulation, but for valid information to be made available to consumers so they can make rational decisions in their own self-interest.

Unless you believe that consumers should be left in the dark.

What the heck was that an ad for?

    Regulation.

Oh…and while I don’t know for sure, I don’t think that Nader has ever advertised anything but himself. I think this may be something from SNL or Sesame Street or some such thing.

The best part of that advert, and the most Green, was when Ralph Nader said “take your business elsewhere” if your kryptonite is not clearly labeled.

Reflecting the key value of personal and global responsibility, he encourages us to take personal action to protect ourselves from scam artists, while also indicating support for proper labeling, something corporate interests are still fighting.

Says the man who hears voices.

This is awesome. As both a Nader supporter and a comic book geek, I approve.
