Eleven-Year-Old Fundraises for Congressional Candidate Father

Douglas Sligting is the Constitution Party candidate for US Congress in Utah’s 3rd District. His main fundraiser, though, appears to be his 11 year old son. Harrison Sligting, the young son, is going to bike 100 miles for his father’s campaign.

Harrison plans to begin the fundraising ride at 7 a.m. June 19 from Payson Park, 300 S. Main, and bike around the southern end of Utah Lake. He’s inviting anyone who wants to join him for the 100 miles or even a 30-mile route around Lake Mountain.

Douglas Sligting is the Constitution Party candidate for Utah’s 3rd Congressional District, challenging Rep. Jason Chaffetz, R-Utah.

Harrison said he already has about $25 per mile in pledges and is hoping for more. The ambitious biker has ridden 80 miles in the past and competes regularly in road races.

If Harrison bikes the full 100 miles and receives no more pledges per mile, he will have raised $2500 for his father’s campaign.

  1. Zero Party Revolution

Hopefully Harrison will convince his father to leave the Constitution Party and run as an independent.
