Libertarian Party Of Nebraska Gains Official Recognition

The Libertarian Party of Nebraska has been recognized as an official political party in Nebraska, according to Secretary of State John Gale.

The designation means that individuals can affiliate with the party as registered voters and the party can nominate candidates for partisan offices, Gale said.

The party gained official status by mounting a successful petition drive. The party exceeded the statewide threshold of 5,934 signatures of registered voters, including a certain number in each congressional district.
