Tom Tancredo Releases New Ad

From supporting terrorists to stealing from little old ladies, Tom Tancredo has leveled serious accusations at his opponents over the years. The candidate continues the tradition with his latest ad targeting Democrat John Hickenlooper. The Colorado Independent explains,

Tom Tancredo, who is running as the Constitutional [sic] Party’s candidate for Colorado governor, has a new ad bashing opponent John Hickenlooper’s so-called sanctuary policies for illegal immigrants as mayor of Denver. The ad, despite its low production value, is a sad one: A father tells the story of an illegal immigrant crashing his car into a Baskin Robbins store and killing the man’s three-year-old son. The man claims the immigrant had 16 previous arrests, but was not deported under Denver’s “sanctuary” policies. The tradition continues with Tancredo’s latest ad targeting Democrat John Hickenlooper. The Colorado Independent explains,

“I’m sending you his picture, Mr. Mayor,” the man says to Hickenlooper. “Try to sleep at night knowing your policies contributed to his death.”

While it is not professionally produced, the content still makes this an effective ad. Nevertheless, the article claims there may be factual issues.

As for criminals: Denver’s police guidelines require officers to refer arrested illegal immigrants to ICE, which has promised to prioritize illegal immigrants considered dangerous. While backlogs have led ICE to release some detainees in recent months, it only does so if the illegal immigrant has a potential path to legal residency — disqualifying those with criminal records.

It’s tough to say why the man described in the ad was not deported. But to claim Denver shields criminals from federal immigration enforcement is simply untrue.

Whatever the merits of its claims, the ad itself seems particularly potent.

  1. So Red approves of physical assault? Does not mind Doctor Grundmann’s on going threats? Does not mind physical assaults by men against women.

—- oh, oh, oh, these are folks I like, directly or indirectly. No prob!

  2. I know I have a beef with Patrick and Bay as they literally stole $12.5M of ‘party building funds’. You are mixing apples and oranges and you know it!

Red, he’s 51-50, in fact I need that we all should start ignoring him now.

Don, what the heck does Marcus Epstein have to do with this? Marcus’ battle with alcohol has been well documented. He is now on the wagon and doing well. I know you still have your axe to grind with Bay and Pat because they beat your moderate faction of the Reform Party fair and square, but leave Marcus out of this.

[Lake: Daddy Bush, Federal Felony Probationer Horton and dirty, dirty Boston Bay both dumped upon Governor Michael Ducacus (sp). Both are federal jurisdiction(s) and should have been blamed Schrub 41, the initiator of the advertisement.]

[Lake: this stuff goes all the way back to the original ‘bickersons’: Tommy Jefferson and Johnny Adams!]

In 2009, when the details of the arrest of the executive director of The American Cause, Marcus Epstein, revealed that he had allegedly “bumped into a black woman, called her a ‘nigger,’

and struck her in the head with an open hand”—all in the presence of an off-duty Secret Service agent, and after he had been drinking[9]

[Bay] —Buchanan reportedly commented on his Alford plea, bargained from a hate crime to a simple assault: “Marcus is going off to law school [at the University of Virginia] at the end of the month,” she said, saying he had planned to depart before the case became public. “Who cares? This is something that happened two years ago that Marcus has paid a price for.”[10]

[unreliable source?] (According to a dean at the University of Virginia Law School, “Mr. Epstein is not currently enrolled at the University of Virginia School of Law, and I do not expect him to be an enrolled student in the future.”[11][unreliable source?])

In her article about this matter, Buchanan described the incident as “out of character” for Epstein and said that since that time, he had received treatment, for severe depression.[12]

Joey, Tancredo was not planning to enter the race. He only entered the race when Dan Maes’ ethical issues were revealed. He offered to drop out if Dan Maes dropped out also and allowed the Republican Executive Committee to pick a new candidate which is what happen with Jack Ryan in 2004 in Illinois.

I really wish Tancredo would run an honest campaign.

I do believe it’s a good time to call on Dan Maes to drop out of the race and endorse Tancredo. I really wish Tancredo would have ran as a Republican, but…Colorado needs Tancredo.

Although I had no actual intent to editorialize, I have edited the article to make the language less strident.
