Independent Tammy Roesch does well in close race in Ohio’s 99th State House District

According to Austin Cassidy at Uncovered Politics, independent candidate Tammy Roesch had over 18% of the vote in Ohio’s 99th State House district, with only a fraction of a point separating the Democratic and Republican candidates. As of the time that article was published, Democrat Deborah Newcomb was narrowly leading Republican Casey Kozlowski.

Uncovered Politics describes Roesch as a Tea Party candidate, but her website appears to already be down as of this writing.

She was campaigning as a “true independent” and had lots of yard signs around at least a few of the smaller towns that I visited up there (NE Ohio) stating “Throw Both Parties Out” or something to that effect.

Also from the Google cache version of the home page on her website, it appears that she also ran radio ads.
