John Spink at Atlanta Journal-Constitution:
In the race for governor, Republican Nathan Deal leads Democrat Roy Barnes 47 percent to 40 percent, with Libertarian John Monds getting the support of 6 percent. Seven percent are undecided, according to the poll by Mason-Dixon Polling & Research Inc.
By law in Georgia, if no candidate gets 50%, there will be a runoff election between the top two candidates.
According to LP blog
(8:45pm ET) Georgia governor: John Monds is at 4% (20% precincts reporting.) Georgia US Senator: Chuck Donovan is at 3%. (21% precincts reporting.) Runoff unlikely in either case.
