Palin was on Hannity Friday night and the issue of running third party came up. The exchange is recounted here at American Spectator.
In a stunning development, former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin and 2008 GOP vice-presidential candidate indicated to Fox News host Sean Hannity in an interview aired Friday night that she could abandon the GOP for a third party presidential run rather than lead or participate in a Reagan-style revolution against a timid, moderate GOP Establishment.

Grundmann is the clue and the glue. He heavily supports Palin. What is off topic ’bout dat ????????
Need to have an open thread for California AIP/Constitution party people to argue each day as well. This is way off topic.
Historians agree: Palin was right about Revere

Oh, that’s why I have mailed out HUNDREDS of home made ‘Opeach Obama’ stickers and my snarkie snide ‘change, coin age in the cushions of the national sofa’ remarks.
Oh, and Palin:
Gosh I wonder if Palin dated something “2008” a few weeks ago? You think she might have pronounced corpsman, “corpseman” in on the of the “57 states” she visited? What? oh, yeah, that’s right………

When Obama makes countless gaffes he is always given a free pass. Anything Palin says is scrutinized down to the last word and then warped to provide the appropriate spin for those who hate her. I have not heard what she said regarding Revere but I have learned that even the common history of him was inaccurate as in, as just one example, that there were multiple people besides Revere who went out to alert citizens. This is not common knowledge relative to the general legend but I do not hear others criticized for not knowing this and I myself do not criticize people for not knowing the full story. She is, in complete contrast to her attackers, extremely intelligent and although I disagree with her on various policies I give credit to her for her courage in fighting the countless attacks against her; attacks, such as the countless frivolous and lying lawsuits filed against her when she was Governor, under which many others, and probably anyone else, would have already ” folded ” by the intimidation. She is a true fighter and an inspiring example of a real woman in our nation where being a real woman is under severe attack.
Don J. Grundmann, D.C. Chairman American Independent Party, California branch of the Constitution Party
She is smeared as ” dumb ” by those who are desperate to lie about her in any way possible in order to derail her candidacy.”
She’s dumb because that’s exactly what she is and if the Paul Revere revisionist history doesn’t lead you to the conclusion that she is an airhead, I don’t know what will.
She’s not running and she knows it. This is about teasing, not seriously putting a campaign together. For once can we stop paying attention to these people?

UP TO DATE, THE LATEST CURRENT PALIN ‘SNAFU’:
On Sunday, [Sarah] Palin insisted she was right about the purpose of [Paul] Revere’s famous “midnight ride.”
“I know my American history,” she told Wallace [of Fox News].
[but] The colonists at the time of Revere’s ride were British subjects, with American independence still in the future.
………. Revere’s own writing and other historical accounts leave little doubt that secrecy was vital to his mission.
The Paul Revere House’s website says that on April 18, 1775, Dr. Joseph Warren, a patriot leader in the Boston area, instructed Revere to ride to Lexington, Mass., to warn Samuel Adams and John Hancock that British troops were marching to arrest them.
Revere would never have rung any on that famous night because the Redcoats were under orders to round up people just like him.
“He was riding off as quickly and as quietly as possible,” Miller said. “Paul Revere did not want the Redcoats to know of his mission at all.”
says who ??????????
Chuckie Poo? well at least I know that he was not around in the Roman Year Zero …………
Spoken like a true anti-Semetic bigot.
You should be proud, Mark.

The Alaska Constitution Party would welcome brutal murders of innocents in international waters by Israeli Government thugs.
Cody The AIP will have several people that will being
running in 2012.
= Which aren’t GOP candidates simply endorsed by you, right?
The final names and numbers
running in the primary is not a process that is voted on by the SCC. It take three electors to start the venting process. The party picks unlike the Democrats and GOP in 2008 will pick
people that are natural born citizens, and not
illegal aliens from Mombasa, Zanzibar or Colon,
Panama.
= Fine by me, but if they don’t want Todd Palin, then are you guys going to cancel the state convention at the last minute and have a private meeting in which you put Todd Palin on the ballot against the wishes of the AIP state central committee?
I do know about Sarah Palin being “dumb”!
Reagan at California’s Eureka College via Palin’s 2010 speech at California State University is well documented.
MSM, blogs, videos, alternative press covered it as all of Collie Fornia was laughing.
The Alaska Constitution Party would welcome a candidacy by Sarah Palin.
I don’t know about Sarah Palin being “dumb,” but the stupidity in the comments on this post is overwhelming.
It makes me wish Milnes and Eric Dondero would come around and class up this joint.
Understand what Grundmann is stating. The Constitution Party of California has 157 registered
electors in California. Grundmann is the Chairman of the Constitution Party of California,
but he is registered in the American Independent
Party. That means there are officers of the Constitution Party, like Don Grundmann that are
not registered in that party. Therefore, he could be in a branch of the Constitution Party of California that has as little as one elector in that
party, viz, electing himself Chairman.
Sincerely, Mark Seidenberg, Vice Chairman, American Independent Party
Vaughn
Don Grundmann is the Chairman of the Constitution Party of California with his whole
membeship of 157 California Electors. To be ballot qualified he need 103,004 electors in California. Let’s see that mean he needs to piick up 102,847 more electors by early September,
2011. Well he has Gary Odom organizing the
membership drive. That might help. The question is can Sarah Palin do a registration drive
for Howard Phillips. I think if Sarah Palin wants
to try she could find over 100 k electors that could
take control of California Constitution Party and
get rid of Grundmann. I know that would make
Gary Odom happy. That would make many happy CP members around the United States removing Grundmann from the Chairman spot of the CP in California.
Sincerely, Mark Seidenberg, Vice Chairman,
American Independent Party
Sincerely, Mark Seidenberg,
Any chance she’d seek the Constitution Party nomination?
I told my wife Sarah Palin was dumber than a flat rock. My wife told me not to insult flat rocks.
Don Grundmann is not in the AIP. He is Chairman of the 157 stong Constitution Party
of California.
Ed Noonan in early 2008 removed Dr. Don Grundmann from the office of AIP party area
director. Alameda County Chairman of the
AIP will not let Don Grundmann in meetings
of that County Central Committee either, because of Grundmann conduct at AIP meetings.
So Dr. Grundmann conducts meetings with his
mother and calls him “D. C. Chairman of the
American Independent Party, branch of
the Constitution Party” (sic.). The fact is the
Constitution Party has a total of 157 electors in
California on February 10., 2011.
The American Independent Party is the 3rd largest political party in the State of California
with major party status in two of the California
58 Counties and almost 100,000 electors in Los
Angeles County alone. The AIP is working to
elect Mr. Craig Huey for Congress in the 36th
District Special Election on July 12, 2011.
The post by Don Grundmann makes no sense, The AIP has no faction that places people on the
ballot. I am not an agent for the SPLC or the ADL. I am also not in a faction of the AIP. Todd
Palin will not let Grundmann any where near him
so Grundmann would have to hold a sign and yell
over a fence like he did at the AIP State Convention in 2010.
Since no one will let Grundmann in AIP meeting,
I hear he called a convention for July 4th in
Monterey California for him and his mother.
Knowing Todd Palin, Palin will not visit with him. Even if Grundmann does find his way to
Alaska.
Sincerely, Mark Seidenberg,Vice Cahirman, American Independent Party
District Special election in

Todd Palin will never accept being placed on the ballot by the state recognized corruption faction of the AIP. I will inform him that said faction is actually a criminal organization that achieved their control by the deliberate filing of fake documents with the state as documented at TheCorruptionOfAlanKeyes.blogspot.com. Mr. Palin will then sue, as he should, to protect his good name from being smeared via association with the criminal organization which Mark Seidenberg is an agent of. He will not want to be associated with an agent of the Southern Poverty Law Center and the Anti-Defamation League as Seidenberg is.
Don J. Grundmann, D.C. Chairman American Independent Party, California branch of the Constitution Party
And so we have a guy who wraps his head in toilet paper and who has himself made an uncountable number of nitwit comments on multiple threads on this website calling Sarah Palin ” dumb.” I will go with a lady who has achieved the office of Governor and inspires many people throughout the nation over a nitwit who unendingly lies about others, smears them with total made up fantasies; i.e; lies; and whose own major accomplishment is – zero.
As I alluded to in my previous comment, she is attacked also by those who are idiots themselves but hope, like dogs looking for a bone, to gain favor with her attackers by attacking her. They, morons who have no accomplishments of their own and can only tear down others and what they have built as their ” accomplishments,” call her dumb to cover up for their own staggering stupidity.

I don’t recall any ‘Chuckie Baldwin’ being around in 008 A.D.
If you’re taking about the guy that still got over 3 times as many votes as Alan Keyes did, and especially got more votes then Alan did in Florida and Colorado, then you need to get that toilet paper out of your ears and put your ‘Romanian spell checker’ to better use, moron.
BTW, Bugs Bunny is a cartoon character, dumbfuck
Cody, Palin does not require approval to be on
the ballot under the California Election Code.
= Which obviously is your only form of moral conscience.
Alan Keyes was a great choice in 2008 for President.
= Never mind Chuck Baldwin cleaned his clock nationwide, especially in Florida and Colorado.
That last time I visited with Todd Palin he read the AIP platform and said he agreed with it. That visit was at a fine buffet in
a hotel in Anchorage, Alaska.
= But did he say he would be interested in running for President as a candidate for the AIP; just because he likes your platform doesn’t mean jack sh*t; even I could like your platform too, yet you know where I stand.
In fact if you put him on the AIP ballot, he still wouldn’t even campaign at all, especially in California when compared to who the CP presidential candidate will be.
How many people do you know that would take
the time to read the AIP platform and tell you from an other state that they agreed with the AIP
Platform of 2004.
= I should say the same about the IAP platform.
Palin is not GOP and was registered in the past as the Alaska Independence Party.
= But he’s NOT registered AKIP any more, in fact he’s currently registered “undeclared” and not supporting ANY political party now, especially the AKIP.
http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0808/12989.html
Cody get real Todd Palin
would make a good President if elected.
= No, you get real! Get your damn facts right idiot! He’s not AKIP or in any third party, and nor does he have any political experience or ambition. Plus having a AIP president candidate that doesn’t want to campaign or even run for that office would make you look more then just petty and politically simpleton.
I would
rather see Ambassador Alan Keyes the President, but Todd Palin is a good man and could make a fine President of the United States.
He will be on the ballot in 2012 for California.
= Is your state committee in agreement with you? Since when do you have the final say in who runs the AIP?
You’re only the Vice-Chair.

ZZZZZ… uh… WTFO… who cares?
psssst….Wayne I have an epiphany for you, listen up. (whispering).
“Conservatives hate Libertarians more than they hate the State.”
First I note that Don Grundmann has made a posting at 11. Please not that Dr. Grundmann has given disinformation on his titles.
Dr. Grundmann holds not offices in the American Independent Party, since September
2, 2008. He was removed as an AIP area director by then AIP State Chairman Ed Noonan
in early 2008. He was off the State Central Committee before September 3, 2008. The Chairman of Alameda County Central Committee of the American Independent Party is Mr. Patrick Colglazier of Fremont, CA. Mr.
Colglazier can inform any interested person that
Don Grundmann is not on the AIP County Central Committee for Alemeda County.
I can inform those intested that Dr. Grundmann is not the Chairman and hold no office in the
AIP. In fact the current holder of the seat on the
State Central Committee that Dr. Grundmann received in 20006 is held by Mr. Don Lake.
Dr. Grundmann does claim to be the Chairman of the 157 elector strong Constitution Party of
California. However, when I checked last week
with the Registrar of Votes for Alameda County
Dr. Grundmann has still not registered in the
Constitution Pary, even though Gary Odom
told him to reregister.
The current state chairman of the American Independent Party is Mr. Nathan Sorenson.
,
I have have met Sarah Palin several times in 2006 in Anchorage, Alaska, she is friendly
and warm. However, if someone wants to vote
for a Palin for President in 2012, the AIP will
place Todd Palin as one of the choices in the Presidential Primary ballot.
Sincerely, Mark Seidenberg, Vice Chairman, American Independent Party
@18
I wish I could be as optimistic as you are but you know as soon as Ron Paul starts becoming a threat to the Republican establishment they will send out their henchmen to destroy RP’s character and reputation.
They will paint him as a “liberal” on foreign policy and deem him more dangerous than Obama when it comes to our national security.
The right-wingers will probably paint him to extreme for public consumption on his free market views as well.
Quoting a sentence from a Lew Rockwell column a few years back:
“Conservatives hate the Left more than the hate the State.”
If it’s humility you’re looking for, look no further than than Wayne Allyn Root, human dynamo and Reagan-Libertarian. He’s got 10 times more humility than Trump and he’d be the first to humbly admit it.
For what it’s worth, I encourage everyone who supports freedom and wants the Feds more tightly bound to the Constitution to help Ron Paul get the Republican Party nomination.
Call me wildly optimistic, but I believe his campaign this time will be even bigger than in 2008, and that he could actually win.
Palin-Trump? No way! When is the last time The Donald was #2 at anything?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MViQIhiFrPo
must see!
Palin/Trump would certainly be interesting. 2012 could be VERY interesting times. Imagine the economy slipping badly again, much worse than now. The Rs nominate an uninspired Romney or Pawlenty. Obama is looking especially ridiculous if things turn far south on his watch.
Stranger things could happen. Palin/Trump in an Idiocracy world might start to make some internal sense to a lot of folks. What their message might be other than No to Obama and the Rs are “boring” could actually resonate, and that is a frightening prospect.
Shaking things up COULD be a good thing, but not if that means Sarah with the football. Trump advising on trade policy…arghhh.
OTOH, both sometimes have L impulses.
Neither, OTOH, seem to have much in the way of humility, which tops my priority list of qualities I admire in pols.
Que sera.
11 dg: She is smeared as ” dumb ” by those who are desperate to lie about her in any way possible in order to derail her candidacy.
me: “Dumb” may be unfair, but “unprepared” seems quite fair. Watch the 08 Couric interview if you have any doubts on the matter.
I don’t like Sarah Palin as a candidate. I don’t like her attitude. And, I disagree with most of her policies.
That said: Threatening the establishment party with a third party run is a brilliant move. Finally, I see her doing something specifically “smart” for her career.
I think that the ticket would probably be Palin/Trump, because she has the political resume of having been a VP candidate. When she met with Trump, right away, I could see it was the old strategy of putting someone on your slate, so they could defy campaign finance limits, and fund away…
My main problem with Sarah Palin is that she’s a quitter–she quit her job as governor when the going got tough.
While I have policy differences with Sarah Palin she is most definately very smart and intelligent; a lady of great integrity. She is smeared as ” dumb ” by those who are desperate to lie about her in any way possible in order to derail her candidacy. She is also attacked by many because she refused to abort/kill her young son and hence shows up the ” pro-choice ” movement for the sewer that it is. She is also called ” dumb ” by attackers who are dumber than rocks themselves as with comment #4 above.
Don J. Grundmann, D.C. Chairman American Independent Party, California branch of the Constitution Party
http://www.azsos.gov/election/2010/info/OtherPrimarySigReq.htm
says that 28,187 signatures would be required for a non-primary candidate to qualify for the printed ballot for a statewide office (such as US Senator) in 2010. It is quite achievable if you have an extra $60,000 available.
Heck, former Republican Lisa Murkowski lost the Republican primary, wasn’t even printed on the general election ballot and managed to be re-elected US Senator for Alaska in 2010.
true, however waffling on the “running/not running” issue, will continue to land her speaking engagements
Darryl, it’s likely to concern many of her supporters. You saw how quickly Trump backed away from his running independent hints when he was considering the GOP nomination. Holding out that you might run third party doesn’t help you in GOP primaries.
@Red, she may just be saying that to “appease” her follo– um, supporters; or she may not realize how tough ballot access is for someone not a Donkephant.
What is funny is how desperately Hannity tries to get her to put that cat back in the bag, but she doesn’t do it. Hannity is a GOP shill of the worst sort. I wonder if there is method in her madness or if she is just talking off the top of her head.
Palin-Milnes 2012?
It’d be the double Almond Joy Ticket, two nuts in the same package!
OTOH, it would finally get Milnes his date and running mate…
For internal GOP consumption. Her threat to siphon votes from an established male Republican candidate ‘drop kicks’ the effort to get her on as VP portion of the ticket.
Sorry to say, Obama, my Yokohoma Momma, will probably walk away with 2012 wins in the party primary and November General Election, after the raid on Osama.
Palin is young enuf, and [yes] dumb enuf, to be in a holding pattern for a serious bid for the top spot after 2012.
Gut reaction: Bad for liberty. Drowns out the “third voice” potential. Also the LP probably draws from the angry/disaffecteds. Obama v. Pawlenty or Romney vs. Trump/Palin or Palin/Trump puts any LPer way on the fringes, I suspect.
Good for her, as long as she stays away from the Libertarian Party.
Well, well,. well… a Trump-Palin ticket would sure get media attention!
