Chuck Baldwin recently released a video endorsing Ron Paul. The content of this editorial is different from the video.
The recent passage of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) and the reaction–or better, lack of reaction–by the GOP’s Presidential candidates is a perfect example of how it will not matter to a Tinker’s Dam which Republican candidate wins the nomination, unless that candidate is Congressman Ron Paul. This is what so many people within the so-called Religious Right and establishment GOP just do not understand: they do not understand the fact that America is in the throes of a burgeoning police state. They have buried their heads in the sand for so long that they wouldn’t know what tyranny looked like if it came up and bit them on their blessed assurance! They have totally drunk the propaganda Kool Aid that purports that the biggest threat to our liberties comes from the Sand People. Our Founding Fathers were a much wiser lot, of course. They understood perfectly that the biggest threat to our liberties comes from Washington, D.C., not Baghdad, or Tehran, or any other foreign entity.
Goode will get the nomination and that’s a good thing for the LP. Ron Paul will not endorse him. I really hope that the LP pushes for a Gary Johnson/Jesse Ventura ticket. If Jesse cleans up his image to what it was when he ran for Governor then that adds to credibility too. I know Gary & Jesse don’t agree on everything but they agree on a lot and it’s a Libertarian message. They need to drop the Fair Tax idea too. Gary & Jesse have good ties to Ron Paul and could really do well to seek his nomination. I think a million votes is possible. I think a Paul/Johnson (probably a Paul/Ventura ticket even more) would actually be able to poll 10% in national polling, I don’t know if it could reach 15% to actually get them into the debates. The Paul group has to be disappointed with the 3rd place showing and should focus on Rand getting the GOP nomination to become Kentucky Governor in 2015 which would work nicely with him working toward a GOP 2016 goal and set him up for a real run in 2020 or 2024.

I mean Goode, yes.
Goode will have the benefit of having “joined” the party much earlier than Keyes did. Keyes waited until days before the convention, Goode did it months ago.
Goode was pro-war, but has supposedly moderated his stance considerably. While CP delegates will certainly be suspicious of this, it’s a much easier pill to swallow than Alan Keyes arrogantly calling them fools who “stick their heads in the sand”. Had Keyes downplayed the issue of foreign policy and war, instead of emphasizing it, he would’ve had a much better chance. His arrogance and condescension is what cost him, not necessarily his positions (though I still think he wouldn’t have won).
Goode also has the benefit of cozying up to leadership first. If you have the support of Jim Clymer, Howard Phillips, and Gary Odom–then you’re well on your way to the nomination.
Castle seems like he would be a good candidate for them.
If it’s not going to be Goode, then it will likely be Castle.

No, they’ll keep on doing their thing.
Baldwin is not the CP, he was just their last presidential candidate. From what I could tell, the VP candidate (Castle) actually campaigned at least as much or more.
Their previous candidate from 2004, Peroutka, is AFAIK on the outs with the CP and Baldwin is running as a Republican for state office, but there are other CP candidates and they will have a presidential ticket.
Natural Law folded because the leadership was following a guru, and he decided to try a different idea after trying to start a political party.
I like and respect Chuck Baldwin. Am a huge fan on Ron Paul. Dr. Jill Stein of the Green Party, perhaps the U.S. Green Party’s most collaborative, friendly, and intelligent presidential candidate ever – Dr. Jill Stein gets it.

Lake – Another year and you are the same staggeringly and unbelievably stupid fool. A) Chuck Baldwin is a PASTOR. He led his church in Florida for 20 if not 30+ year!! Now that he has moved to Montana his new church is becoming very large already. He has been invited to countless speaking engagements throughout the nation. Who would EVER invite you to speak at ANY event unless it was the local psychiatric board for your regular hearing? B) He is a wonderful leader who has an extremely broad intellect of great depth which has contributed to his ability to have a long running political/religious commentary column for many years. YOU, in total contrast, could at the very best lead a parade of one ( yourself ) down any street in support of any topic. For YOU, of all people, to attack Chucks IQ is yet another continuation of your long string of awesomely stupid attacks upon people whose ability is minimally 1,000X your own in any field of consideration. C) Of course the most important total opposite difference between the 2 of you is character; i.e; Chuck is an honorable and noble man who is fighting to save our nation in complete contrast to yourself as the serial liar that you are as you work to support those who are dedicated to the destruction of our nation.
