Chuck Baldwin was previously the Presidential and Vice Presidential nominee of the Constitution Party in 2008 and 2004 respectively. He recently moved from Florida to Montana, where he claimed people were more partial to his message of constitutionalism. Baldwin soon thereafter joined the ticket of a gubernatorial candidate running in the GOP primaries in Montana. Now he is reportedly dropping off of that ticket, citing a lack of funds for the campaign as his reason. The head of the ticket, candidate Bob Fanning, says he will continue his run.

How did this non-campaign have any impact on the CP, Cody?
Baldwin certainly hurt himself with the CP by what he did.
Now he left the ticket and its isn’t helping him any better.
Baldwin was nothing but a carpet bagger, just like Hillery Clinton, who decided to move to Montana to get elected. That won’t happen now so what will Baldwin do next in the election process.

US GDP is about 14 trillion according to this chart.
The entire world’s GDP is around 60 trillion.
I suppose I should have asked you in what time frame this tax is supposed to bring in 10-15 trillion, which is about the entire US GDP. Obviously not in a year. A century, perhaps?

She may be talking about some sort of finacial transaction tax that levies a small % tax every time money changes hands. I have heard estimates that this would raise huge amounts of money.

One point I forgot (bad somedays to get old, hey Lake!?) Dr. Roth has a 2% sales tax plan that EXCLUDES no one. She says it will bring in from 10 to $15T in revenue. (NO prebait) Makes a fellow wonder who pockets Mr. Johnson and company’s other $0.28 (or is it $0.21, who knows) on each dollar ?! Someones figures are a little off or are they?
Has the ’08 CP Veep announced yet ? **Even Goode was an interventionist wasn’t he** ? Dr. Roth seems to be good on somethings but she fails (IMO) to put it all together correctly. A newly disgruntled GOP that still hasn’t come to understand tweedle dee and DUMBER have the SAME string pullers !!! The ’08 Veep seems to have the inside track today, I too, look forward to your report Red.

I’m working on a series of articles about the potential CP candidates. Roth is an interventionist which makes her a non-starter.
With Baldwin being a Baptist preacher and regular puter blogger, that don’t add up to “REAL” money so to speak! Shame he couldn’t thrive in MT. His brand of Constitutionalism should have caught on, however BAD Times in the heighborhood must reach to MT as well as mainstreet, LA, NYC and DC.
On checking the ’08 fund raising cycle for Dr.Baldwin I can understand Mr.Goode’s cold feet. The CP has some very DEEP pockets within the Party and within their close comrades but must not translate to support for their P/vp noms. Looking at the ’04 cycle the P nom put in much more than he received in help from the CP membership (could that be a reason for his quick departure from the CP?!). The Deep pockets need to put up the $10,000 (max for them and spouce) early in the process if the CP is to hold any sway in the P race. In some cases (as business owners) they could bundle just like the Rs and Ds do, to a lesser degree naturally as I guess they aren’t Goldman Sachs etc.!
The CP did pickup a new POTUS candidate this week. Former Country Music Singer and now Long time Radio Talk Show Host, who emceed two recent C-PAC conventions, Dr. Laurie Roth. There is something to these Radio Talk Show Hosts and TPs, then thinking they are White house material! Kindly like the water in Massachusetts …,Kennedys, Dukakis, Tsongas, Kerry, Phillies, Romney….! Oh well this lady is from all the way across country OR/WA.
Bet you never thought you would see Phillies mentioned in the same sentense as John and Robert Kennedy HEY-!? You live long enough the journey becomes livelier all along the way.

I will make an observation NOT appreciated by some but strangely true. Dr. Roth seems to do the same thing Dr. Ruwart did early in her ’08 campaign. Is it me or are these ladies guilty of using photos from much “younger” days ? You must watch current videos to see what they look like now! In Dr. Roth’s case I leave no questions as I give you a recent vid. But while I was researching all photos I came across on her website were from “many or a FEW” years back to say the least. Vanity oh vanity, all is vanity saith the Preacher Man…..
