Uncovered Politics has reported that the South Carolina Green Party Convention is occurring this weekend and there are eight national convention delegates at stake in the presidential race.
The South Carolina Green Party will be holding their state convention in Columbus this weekend, meeting on Saturday at the Al-Amir Restaurant.
Presidential candidate Jill Stein will be speaking at the event, as well as Farheen Hakeem, one of the party’s most successful candidates in recent history and a surrogate for the Roseanne Barr Presidential campaign. Delegates to the SC GP convention will be electing 8 delegates to represent the party at the national Green Party’s convention.
Currently Stein holds a lead of 62 to 11 delegates over Barr, with 201 delegates needed to capture the Green nomination.
If anyone could send along reports while attending or afterward, that would be appreciated.

Will do, Scott.
Please send us an email with an update while you’re there or right after.
Particular details we’re looking for include number of delegates, caucus/primary voting numbers, number of delegates awarded to either candidate, etc.
I’ll be there and will post when I have time.
There are also two Al-Amir restaurants in town. We’ll be at the one at 2930 Devine Street from 11 to 4.

BTW, Uncovered Politics has corrected the location to read “Columbia” so you can fix the quote, if you like.
*shrug*. I cant correct that one, lol.
But yeah, you’re right.
Columbia, not Columbus.
