The Reform Party of North Carolina has filed paper work to begin their ballot access drive. It stands as the Reform Party’s first major ballot access drive in recent memory. The ballot access drive, led by Reform Party of North Carolina’s Vice Chairman and Executive Director Joe Vodenichar, will have to overcome major obstacles to succeed as the Reform Party will be forced to collect over 100,000 signatures.
“Right now is the perfect time for a moderate party in North Carolina to emerge,” said Reform Party of North Carolina’s Chairman Nicholas Hensley. “North Carolina is a moderate state, yet the Democrats and Republicans are everything but moderate. The Republican Party has moved the state further to the right, and the Democrats are shedding their Blue Dog moderates as it moves further to the left. This proves that the two incumbent parties have lost touch with the average North Carolinian”.
The Reform Party of North Carolina was refounded as an official affiliate of the Reform Party of the United States this year. The Reform Party has also refounded affiliates in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Arkansas, Nevada and several other states in the past few years.
“The progress the North Carolina affiliate made is astounding,” said Reform Party National Chairman David Collision “I never expected the North Carolina affiliate to pounce on ballot access this fast”.
Joe Vodenichar will hold an organization meeting in Guildford County at the Kickback Jacks located at 1600 Battleground Ave. Greensboro, NC. The meeting will be held on July 7th at 6:30pm. This meeting will serve as an organization meeting to recruit organizers and leaders for the Reform Party’s efforts. Nicholas Hensley is planning a follow up meeting in Raleigh to be announced later.
