Constitution Party Resolution on Trans-Atlantic Trade & Investment Partnership

Passed unanimously by the National Committee in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania – 25 April 2015

Whereas, the Trans-Atlantic Trade & Investment Partnership (TTIP) is a largely secret negotiation process that intends to integrate/harmonize countries from North America (Canada, US, and Mexico) with the 28 formerly-sovereign countries making up the European Union (EU); and,

Whereas, this regional trading partnership aims to establish a comprehensive free trade agreement with the socialist, bailout-prone, nanny-state known as the European Union and to result in the eventual political merger of the US and EU ending our national independence and uniquely American personal freedoms; and,

Whereas, “free and open trade” translates as economic and political integration across open borders; and,

Whereas, “integration” is a word that is painful to the ears of constitutionalists and those unwilling to surrender U.S.…
