Richard Winger at Ballot Access News:
On January 5, Michigan Governor Rick Snyder signed SB 13, which eliminates the straight-ticket device. Thanks to Bill Hall for this news.
And Richard Winger in comments on his own post:
Nine states still have it: Alabama, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Oklahoma,Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas, and Utah. All nine have Republican majorities in both houses of the legislature, except in Kentucky the Democrats have the House.

Wow. Congratulations!!!

West Virginia is the eleventh state to have repealed the device in the last fifty years. The others have been Delaware, Georgia, Illinois, South Dakota, Missouri, New Hampshire, New Mexico, Wisconsin, North Carolina, and Rhode Island.
That makes Michigan #12 to repeal with 9 left to go.
