Latest Johnson/Weld video calls on voters to: “Declare Your Independence Again. . . . You in?”

“The greatest lie ever told in America is that the battle for our liberty was won in 1776.  The battle for freedom never ends. . . . We have to declare our independence again.”

Just like his previous well-done videos, I will share this with my fellow democrat friends. Living In New York, we don’t have to worry that a vote for GJ will elect Trump.

I think he should have left in the “One Time.” Not only is it a better way to draw in independents, removing it makes an obviously audible audio cut.

    A

    They are finding their voice.

GJ’s enunciation is especially good here. The reverb at the beginning is powerful.

Maybe they had the final cut done and just uploaded the wrong one.

They also, I believe, dropped the “one time” from the original “Be Libertarian With Me One Time” — you can hear a slight drop in the audio between “With me” and “I’ll prove it to you” — part of the last scintilla of the “e” in “me” is truncated. (If Evan Tweede is here reading this, I’d expect a third version fixing that soon.)

    🙂

Still, this version is growing on me. Again nicely done.

Also dropped the “your” in the original “Declare Your Independence Again.”

I like the “Declare Independence Again” better.

Nice work . . . but maybe should have waited for the final cut before posting . . .

OK the new version adds a line for Bill Weld at the end “Come on!”

I don’t have the original but it seems there is more echo, more crowd noise, and some other new elements “LIMIT THEIR TERMS” may be new. Wish I had watched the first version more closely. Not sure I like the “Come on” line– You in? may have been a better close. But still, A+ quality video either way, I love it.

Now, that is a good question. There was no substance, nothing to cause disagreement. Why remove it?

Youtube now reports that the video has “been removed by the user.”

Anyone with the campaign know why? It was getting lots of shares from my Facebook post about it.

Then it will not happen, give the make up of Congress. Not good enough.

mpf, he’s all but said that. OTOH, unlike Rs and Ds, GJ has had the wisdom to note that the prez has to get Congress to approve his initiatives. That’s why he says, “You can count on me to do X” if “X” gets to his desk.

Nice rhetoric. Now how about some real promises. How about a full stop to Federal prosecutions for the use of all Cannabis, Industrial. medical and for recreation? This could happen the moment the Inauguration is over. So, Gary, what do you say to that?
