Johnson/Weld UNR Rally Draws 500

Reno In an article titled “The Libertarian Party ticket was finalized in Nevada” by Seth A Richardson, published by the Reno Gazette Journal earlier today, the crowd for the Johnson/Weld University of Nevada at Reno rally was estimated at 500.

The article also includes the following quote by Governor Johnson:

“I hear that Donald Trump is watching the Olympics tonight. He’s seeing how high the Mexican pole vaulters go,”

The article continues:

“Weld also chastised Republicans for brushing off the (Black Lives Matter) issue altogether.  “When the question is put from the leaders of that movement do black lives matter, the answer comes back loud and clear from the Republican Party, ‘All lives matter,'” Weld said. “Well they might as well say, ‘Up against the wall.'”

The crowd was fairly receptive, often breaking out into chants of, “Gary! Gary! Gary!”

A similar rally is scheduled for the University of Utah in Salt Lake City on Saturday 6 August 2016.  Information about that event can be found HERE.
