Thornton, Colorado – The 4-digit-member Unity Party of Colorado (www.unitypartycolorado.com), the newest officially-recognized party in the State of Colorado (as of last week’s D-Day) and the largest affiliate of the 37-State Unity Party of America, will be holding its first convention as an official Minor Party Saturday, July 15th 11am at Chuy’s in Westminster at US Highway 36 and West 104th Avenue.
New party bylaws, officers, and a state party platform addressing Colorado-specific issues will be voted on, and attendees who have checked the “Unity” box on their Colorado voter registration form like at least 1,001 other voters will be encouraged to announce runs for office, now that Unity Party candidates no longer have to petition onto General Election ballots and can instead be nominated for November elections with a simple show of hands at the March 2018 and beyond party assemblies.
