Montana Green Party expresses concerns over down ballot candidates

On March 3rd, the Montana Green Party stated that they will not be filing down the ballot candidates in the upcoming elections in their state, though warned of potential false Greens seeking the nomination in order to exploit the “Spoiler Effect” against the Democrats running for those seats, one of which being former Governor Steve Bullock running for the highly contested Senate Seat.

Rightfully as predicted, it appears the State Republican Party has financially aided the petitions to qualify the Green Party for the ballot, and 4 candidates have entered the running for highly contested seats.

  • College Professor, Dennis Daneke has filed for the Senate Seat
  • Former audit reviewer for Montana State Department of Public Health and Human Services, Wendie Fredrickson has filed for the Senate Seat
  • Roy Davis has filed to run for Attorney General
  • and former State House candidate John Gibney has filed for the At-Large House Seat. Gibney has previously been disavowed for his anti-refugee views.
