Former Libertarian National Committee chairman Bill Redpath is running for U.S. Senate in Illinois. He will be challenging the re-election bid of Democratic Senator Tammy Duckworth, who is seeking to win a second term.
Redpath has long been a fixture in party leadership, serving in a variety of positions with both the LNC and the Libertarian Party of Virginia. He has also been a reliable candidate over the years, seeking Federal and State offices in both Virginia and Illinois.
In 2020, Redpath finished third in an Illinois U.S. House race:
Redpath has also sought statewide office in Virginia, running for governor in 2001 and mounting a bid for U.S. Senate in 2008:
Best wishes to Bill Redpath on his new campaign. He must be missed by the Virginia LP. The Illinois LP is fortunate he moved there.
