However, the Libertarian National Committee did sue a group of people who were one of the two sides in the Michigan Libertarian Party dispute, asking on the basis of trademark law that the people be enjoined from using the LNC Trademark “Libertarian Party”. A preliminary injunction granting this request was issued in late August. The LNC was required to post a $20,000 bond to cover potential damages and expenses to the group, if the LNC lost the suit.

The Current LNC is wasting money on arguments on who has the bigger libertarian peni. They have no business being in charge of their own lunch money, let alone the finances of a national political party.
Scratch that. The bond cost should be no more than $200 to $1000. 1%-5%
It is a surety bond, which requires the LNC to pay 1%-5% of the value, $20 to $100. Since they are suing for all costs and fees, there is even a chance that this will be reimbursed.
