Former Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy is set to be the latest speaker at the upcoming Libertarian National Convention later this month. Ramaswamy is expected to debate with a candidate chosen in an informal online poll following the party’s vice-presidential debates.
Speaking in an exclusive Breitbart article published Thursday, Libertarian National Committee Chair Angela McArdle called having Ramaswamy at the convention “an incredible opportunity” for the Libertarian Party. She highlighted Ramaswamy’s strong performance in the Republican Party presidential primary debates and emphasized his overall alignment with libertarian values, presenting what she views as a valuable debate opportunity for a Libertarian candidate.
McArdle also informed Breitbart that Ramaswamy is slated to participate in a debate following the party’s vice-presidential debate. She added that an informal online poll would determine the individual advancing to this second debate. Following that debate, Ramaswamy is expected to address Libertarian delegates with a speech.
In a statement to Breitbart News regarding his participation, Ramaswamy said that it would be a “pro-American, libertarian-nationalist alliance” that saves the United States.
This is not the first instance where Ramaswamy has approached Libertarians this election cycle, although previous engagements have not been as direct. A Des Moines Register article in the lead-up to the Iowa Caucuses reported that Ramaswamy had been in contact with members of the Libertarian Party of Iowa, allegedly expressing interest in joining their presidential ticket. Members of his campaign team had also attended events in Polk County.

She could crash the party.
No, Noem has not been invited.
She’s too busy editing and apologizing and self-political-grave-digging anyway.
Fifth, if Noem actually shows. Or up, but stay tuned.
The Libertarian nominee, whoever that is, is going to be the fourth most prominent 2024 presidential candidate at their own convention.
Has Kristi Noem been invited?
