c: I definitely have nothing to do with Robert’s Rules. When I was in the LP, I found the proceduralism to be stultifying.

FWIW, I’m very skeptical of Musk founding the “America Party.” OTOH, dude’s loaded, so his money might overcome the myriad obstacles. I’d love to see him peeling off pols like Massie, Paul, and Amash. It’s a long shot, of course.

I’d like to hear what other positions the America Party might stand for. That Musk has been posting Milton Friedman videos on X intrigues me, but I’d need to hear more.

Wow! I haven’t seen a post from Robert Capozzi in ages! Glad to see you are still active.

  3. ROBERT C CAPOZZI June 30, 2025

fyi Elon Musk posted this on X.com today:

If this insane spending bill passes, the America Party will be formed the next day.

Our country needs an alternative to the Democrat-Republican uniparty so that the people actually have a VOICE.

Caryn Ann Harlos has resigned! It’s a great day!

It certainly looks like Mr. Casper, the Secretary, has also posted his complaints on Facebook. It seems to verify the Reddit link I sent over a couple days ago. Cheers

    Glad I could help.

RB: Wow. I see they also provided an update since this morning. Thank you for bringing this to my attention.

It seems to have worked on this topic. I have a comment on another topic that didn’t post at all, then went in moderation queue when I changed the “email address.”

  10. RB June 12, 2025

On Wednesday, June 11, The U.S. Senate Subcommittee on Crime and Counter-Terrorism, chaired by Republican Josh Hawley, sent what appears to be a slightly modified form letter to the Party for Socialism and Liberation (PSL) and several other organizations. In the letters, Hawley accuses these groups of fomenting civil unrest and demands that they immediately “cease and desist any further involvement” in the ongoing protests in Los Angeles. The letters also provided a bullet-point list demanding that the groups preserve records going back to November of 2024, including internal communications, emails, and text messages, suggesting that the groups may be formally investigated by the Senate in the near future. As of now it is still unclear exactly how many letters have been sent — Hawley’s office lists only one on its website and two on its X account — but so far they seem to be mostly immigrants’ rights groups actively involved in Los Angeles, including Union del Barrio and the Coalition for Humane Immigration Rights.

Honestly, I don’t get all the hate for the video popups. Contrary to what George Whitfield and RTAA want to believe, this publication and its parent Outsider Media Association (OMA) need to be able to monetize their content so that they can be able to do more things within OMA.

Don’t like it? Then maybe drop OMA some $$$ to keep the platform ad-free, otherwise deal with it.

Sounds like a reasonable solution there…

    California National Party Statement

THE FEDERAL ASSAULT ON CALIFORNIA MUST END!
    6/8/2025
The recent abuses committed by federal law enforcement are fascistic assaults on all Californians, orchestrated by an out-of-control autocrat serving the interests of oligarchs. We are witnessing the systematic dismantling of essential federal services like FEMA, Medicaid, SNAP, and veteran’s programs. Now, the same federal government that sent masked agents into our streets is resorting to financial blackmail—threatening to withhold funds that Californians have already paid.
These actions are clear signs that the Federal Government, like the British Crown in 1776, no longer serves the people, but the will of one man and his cadre of criminals. Governor Gavin Newsom and the State Legislature must act decisively. The time to sever these ties is now.
As Governor Newsom himself stated on June 6, 2025:
“Californians pay the bills for the federal government. We pay over $80 billion more in taxes than we get back. Maybe it’s time to cut that off.”
It has been time—ever since this nation chose the path of moral collapse with the re-election of Trump and the return of the MAGA cult to power.
If we do not act, we will see more masked federal agents terrorizing our communities. More of our hard-earned tax dollars will continue to subsidize Red States with failing economies and extremist agendas. And the decay and dysfunction of the federal government will drag us further down.
NOW IS THE TIME TO ACT
Contact your Assemblymember, State Senator, and the Governor. Demand that California cut off funding to the federal government.
And if our current leaders will not take that stand, help the California National Party elect a Governor and Legislature who will.
TELL NEWSOM TO CUT THE FUNDS
And if he won’t, help us elect leaders who will fight for an independent California nation—boldly, decisively, and without apology.

Elon Musk tweeted: “Is it time to create a new political party in America that actually represents the 80% in the middle?”

Angela McArdle retweeted with the comment: “You should just take over the Libertarian Party. It’s not hard.”

  14. George Whitfield June 5, 2025

Thank you Root’s Teeth for pointing out the annoyance of the automatic video popups. They appear for every article I want to read and are so bothersome.

  15. Jordan Willow Evans June 5, 2025

RTAA: I’ll relay your comment to the board ahead of their meeting this month. In the meantime, I’ve made some adjustments to that particular ad’s behavior so it should remain embedded within articles more often.

  16. Root's Teeth Are Awesome June 5, 2025

Can IPR please stop with the automatic video popups?

Unwanted video popups are trashy and annoying.

  17. Jordan Willow Evans June 3, 2025

Darryl: I appreciate it! I’m working on something on the news surrounding her today.

Readers: The same goes for this video, in which former LNC Chair Angela McArdle announces that she has assumed the chair position of the Libertarian Party Mises Caucus. She also streamed the same on her personal X account.

There are three best-selling books about the 2024 presidential election, but the only one of the three that discusses Robert F. Kennedy Jr’s independent candidacy is “Fight: Inside the Wildest Battle for the White House” by Jonathan Allen and Amie Parnes. The book says on page 207 that Kennedy’s presence in the race was hurting Trump. The book does not then add that it was irrational for the Democratic Party to force RFK out of the race, which they did by attacking his ballot access in numerous states, and setting the rules for the June 2024 presidential debate so it was impossible for him to qualify. I wish the authors had made that point, but I am grateful that they at least included RFK Jr in their book.

The other two books are “Uncharted” and “Original Sin” and they don’t even mention RFK Jr’s independent candidacy, except that Original Sin includes a quote from President Biden mentioning it. However, “Original Sin” isn’t really a history of the 2024 presidential race per se. It is almost exclusively about Joe Biden’s health and capacity and how it was obscured.
