Colorado Forward Party Releases Additional Details on August State Assembly Meeting

The Colorado Forward Party has shared additional details ahead of its virtual State Assembly this month, publishing a full agenda for the meeting and naming the candidates running for four at-large seats on the party’s State Executive Committee.

The party first announced in July that it will convene remotely on Saturday, August 23, for a meeting to fill four seats on its nine‑member State Executive Committee. The committee is responsible for overseeing candidate development, membership growth, budgeting, fundraising, event planning, and legal compliance. It also plays a key role in building relationships with elected officials, advocacy organizations, and institutions aligned with the Forward Party’s platform.

Members had until August 12 to express their interest, with four candidates stepping forward. A list provided by the party includes incumbent Chair Dave Ryan, incumbent Vice Chair Blake Biegalski, Charles Perry, and Carmine Ladarola. The election will be conducted using ranked choice voting.

Additional details published since then include the full agenda and other information on how the public can participate in the meeting, as well as how members can vote in the Executive Committee elections. To be eligible to vote, participants must be in good standing with the state organization, registered as Colorado Forward Party voters, have signed both the party registration affidavit and the affiliate pledge, and register to attend the meeting in advance.

According to the agenda, the meeting will open with introductions and an overview of the format, followed by speeches from the four candidates. The assembly will also consider at least one proposed bylaw amendment, hear from guest speakers, and include a segment honoring Bob Marshal before concluding with the tabulation and announcement of election results.

Independent Political Report is unaware of the specific details behind the proposed bylaw amendment and has reached out to the Colorado Forward Party for additional information. This article will be updated if an answer is received.

Hi Cody, thanks for reading! The Forward Party should have been listed already, so we’ll make sure to correct that.

Love following the news here on each 3rd party, but there needs to be an option for the Forward Party in the “Party News” drop down. They have done far more than most 3rd parties and it’s time to give them space on this site.
