The Colorado Forward Party is now accepting nominations for its State Executive Committee ahead of its annual internal election assembly scheduled for next month. The party will meet remotely on August 23 to elect new members.
“The Colorado Forward Party is looking for motivated leaders to focus their efforts on the Executive Committee (EC),” the party shared in a statement to Independent Political Report on Monday. “These are excellent positions for anyone committed to strengthening our government at a grassroots level, encouraging through fact-based governance and election reform.”
There are nine total seats on the committee, with four at-large positions up for election during the assembly. The Executive Committee is responsible for overseeing candidate development, membership growth, budgeting, fundraising, event planning, and legal compliance. It also plays a key role in building relationships with elected officials, advocacy organizations, and institutions aligned with the Forward Party’s platform.
To be considered for a seat, individuals must be members of the Forward Party and have signed the party’s values-based pledge. The nomination period is open through August 13. Self-nominations are permitted, and additional details on the process are available on the Colorado Forward Party’s website.
Once the committee is formed, members will meet to elect officers, including Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary, and Treasurer, and to assign oversight roles across various working groups and community organizations. As of this article, no further public details about the internal assembly or its agenda beyond the leadership elections have been released by the party or posted on its website.
