Libertarian Party of Florida Announces “Freedom, Uncorked!” as 2026 Convention Theme

The Libertarian Party of Florida has announced that “Freedom, Uncorked!” will serve as the official theme for its 2026 state convention. The party said its selection process raised several hundred dollars for the organization.

In a message shared this week with supporters, Beth Johnson, chair of the Convention Committee, said the winning theme raised $350 through its theme contest, which required members to vote on their favorite submitted theme by making a minimum donation.

Johnson thanked participants for supporting the contest and said additional pricing and logistical information for the event would be released in the coming weeks.

The contest was launched by the committee last November as an early fundraising opportunity. It solicited members to submit theme ideas, with guidelines prohibiting the use of individuals names, copyrighted material, profanity, or content otherwise deemed to be in poor taste. Each individual vote required a minimum $25 contribution to count, though the party generally accepted smaller increments.

Other entries under consideration previously mentioned by the party included “Aspirations of Liberty” and “Hands Off My Booty!”

The party said convention planning will now enter its next phase. In its announcement, the Convention Committee said it is now seeking sponsors, vendors, advertisers for placement in the official convention publication, and contributors interested in submitting articles consistent with the “Freedom, Uncorked!” theme.

The convention is scheduled to take place February 20–21 at Aspirations Winery in Clearwater. The Libertarian Party of Florida has previously said the Friday portion of the convention will focus on registration and social activities, while the party’s annual business meeting will take place on Saturday. The committee has not yet released a full schedule or speaker lineup, but said additional details will be announced as planning continues.
