From the Times-Tribune:
Spring Brook Twp. Supervisor Harry Blumer, 70, died Thursday while visiting the Pennsylvania Farm Show in Harrisburg, longtime friend and fellow township Supervisor Jack Flyte confirmed Friday afternoon.
The two, who had known each other since childhood, went to the Farm Show to attend the governor’s annual luncheon, said Mr. Flyte. Afterward, Mr. Blumer “just collapsed on the floor” and was taken to a hospital in Harrisburg, Mr. Flyte said…
Mr. Blumer, a member of the Green Party, was finishing up a second six-year term on the board of supervisors. Both Mr. Flyte and Supervisor Jeff Jones praised Mr. Blumer and his commitment to the community Friday.
“He was a great guy,” Mr. Flyte said. “Everybody liked him.”
Neither Mr. Flyte nor Mr. Jones knew how the board would proceed with filling Mr. Blumer’s position.

It still only cost 44c and would be an true ‘alternative politics’ moment to send condolences ……..
