Details of Constitution Party Fall National Committee Meeting

From Gary Odom, here are the latest details on the Constitution Party’s Fall meeting.

The Constitution Party’s Fall meeting will be held in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.

The location selected is the famously beautiful Coeur d’Alene Hotel and Resort, 115 South Second Street, Coeur d’Alene, ID 83816. It can never be said that our state affiliates don’t have a neighborly attitude. The Constitution Party of Washington is hosting this meeting, and it was they who suggested that the best place to hold the meeting would be ….. in Idaho about thirty miles east of Spokane. The Coeur d’Alene is a world class resort located on the shores of the idyllic Lake Coeur d’Alene. Grab this opportunity to visit the beautiful northwest, while working with Constitution Party leaders from all over the country to plan the 2012 presidential nominating convention, and work on strategy for the presidential election, state party development and ballot access.

The National Committee meeting will start Friday morning at 8:30am. Pastry, fruit and coffee will be served in the meeting room. Lunch will be included and there will be a banquet Friday evening. Also on Friday, there will be a Western States Regional meeting. The meeting will reconvene on Saturday at 8:30am, and adjourn by mid-afternoon. Again, coffee, fruit and pastries will be served in the meeting room.

In addition to important strategy development for the upcoming presidential election year, an inspiring line-up of speakers is set with more expected. Confirmed speakers include Liberty Roundtable Host, Sam Bushman, 2008 Constitution Party Vice-Presidential nominee, Darrell Castle, former Constitution Party Director of Communications, Scott Bradley, 2010 CP of Utah U.S. Senate Nominee and Constitutional Scholar, Mary Starrett, Former Alabama Chief Justice Roy Moore, Constitution Party 2008 Presidential Candidate Chuck Baldwin, former Virginia Congressman 5th District, Virgil Goode.

The closest airport is the Spokane International Airport. When you reserve your hotel room at the Coeur d’Alene, please inform them that you would also like to be registered for the shuttle. There is a $30 roundtrip charge which you may authorize when you make your room registration, and they will include it in your bill. The gratuity is not included. The hotel will take down the time of your arrival and the shuttle will meet you at the airport.

The early-bird registration available to those whose registration is postmarked or called in on or before September 7th is $215, regular registration for those who register after September 7th but postmarked or called in on or before September 30th is $230, and late registration for those who register after September 30th or at the door is $250.

Sleeping room reservations should be made by calling the hotel’s reservation department at 1-800-688-5253. Please be sure to mention that you are with the Constitution Party group in order to get our special rate of $99 plus tax for deluxe rooms and $139 plus tax for premier rooms. Please see the hotel website for room descriptions: http://www.cdaresort.com.

The cut-off date for reservations is September 7th, 2011. This is a world class resort, please make your reservations early. There is no guarantee rooms will be available at all if you wait.

Please register as soon as possible for this meeting. You’ll save money and we’ll be able to plan a better meeting if we have a good idea of the attendance early. The presidential election year is approaching at a rapid pace. The Convention is in April of 2012. Ballot access, presidential recruitment and convention planning will be topics under discussion at this meeting, so it is important that we have a large turn-out from many states.

  1. We had excellent results in indoor in Arid Zona in P1980, Anderson – Lacey. But we also occupied the kiosks.

Any one got an idea why Post Offices are such great petitioning sites? Especially EXITING customers.

We would ask folks scurrying in for the USPS line, ‘Catch ya on da way out’ to good responses.

Or at a music festival, in the morning, when it looks like the whole 4th Armored Division has massed waiting for the gates to open so they can rush in and put down their folding chairs in the prime location. You’re lucky you don’t get run over let alone get any signatures. Nevertheless, if you survive the initial onslaught, you can do well at such an event over the long course of the day.

I don’t know the laws for OK, I do know that Tulsa visits OU in Norman to open the cfb season. There will be 80,000 plus Oklahomans tailgating there Sept. 2-4 and most would sign a ballot access form if ask politely !

Not sure why you put that on a CP thread, but in my experience sports crowds do not like to sign petitions for anything. Neither do people in malls, even when you can do one without getting booted. Sometimes a smaller number of people yields a higher number of signatures. When they see a crowd running by you saying no one after the other the propensity of most people is to follow that herd mentality and do likewise without even giving it one moment’s thought.

  4. What happened between me and any of the Perry’s is no one else’s bees wax.

OK is not AOK, their politics, much like the others in the Heart Land Six Pack [Nebr, Iowa, Kansas, Ark Kansas, Misery ………..] is destinctly two party only.

Half a Century ago my father, an ardent, I hate Dems and GOP type, would ask neighbors about the two party lock up of American politics.

They would stare back like he had two heads ————- which he did [but that is not the point!].

I would like to proudly point out the fight the Rf Party of OK has given ——— but I can not! Lot’s of nothing!

  5. One of, if not, the TOUGHEST Ballot Access states in the union is OK.
