From Ballot Access News:
On October 8, Survey USA released a poll for the U.S. Senate race in South Dakota. The results: Republican Mike Rounds 35%; independent Larry Pressler 32%; Democrat Rick Weiland 28%; independent Gordon Howie 3%; undecided 2%. See here for more detail. This is the first poll to have shown Pressler in second place. Thanks to Political Wire for the link.

Yep, that sounds accurate.
Moderate, centrist conservative still, it appears. Supported Obama in 08.
Probably thinks “NAP” means “a short sleep.” 😉
Interesting if true, but I’m not sure what if anything that says about his politics.
iirc, Pressler was college roommates with David Koch.
That’s a shame if true. We let that go on here for too long.
Well, frankly, Paulie, I think it might have. That might be how he came to her attention because I always sent her a link to IPR.
Maybe it had something to do with the harassing comments on IPR which allegedly led to a restraining order.
I wrote to Marianne Williamson 3 times about an interview during her run for Congress as an Independent and was surprised that I never even got a response. I was friendly with a couple of her friends, even. Oh, well.
I definitely agree with William Saturn on this.
Larry Pressler refused to answer questions after saying he would do so.
In JANUARY, he wrote:
“I am on the road in South Dakota and just do not have time to respond to all of your questions.”
I informed him I did not have a deadline and so he could answer at his convenience. He did not respond.
Such an evasive attitude toward citizen journalism is a common tactic of the Republican and Democratic establishment.
Like Greg Orman, Pressler is just another duopoly candidate masquerading as an Independent.
