Political blogger Charles P. Pierce writes on the Esquire website about Green Party presidential candidate Jill Stein, saying she “is very smart and very committed to what she believes and an altogether honorable spokesperson for her positions, some of which I agree with and some of which I do not.” He asks why “she is not considered a serious person while most of the announced and potential Republican candidates are.”
Despite that lead — and the headline “Why the Green Party’s Jill Stein Makes More Sense Than Republicans” — Pierce’s piece deals almost entirely with recent statements by GOP candidates that he disparages, not with Stein. He does conclude by writing that the GOP field “evinces a fundamental contempt for the actual purpose of self-government. I’m fairly confident that Jill Stein is not running for president for that reason, which is why she is more worthy of respect than most of these clowns.”

Looks like it may be Orvetti erasing past comments. If so, may I ask why?
Everyone has their reasons…
“evinces a fundamental contempt for the actual purpose of self-government. I’m fairly confident that Jill Stein is not running for president for that reason, which is why she is more worthy of respect than most of these clowns.”
And I would agree. At least she’s not running to get a gig on Fox News.
PJO,
Do you happen to work for the Stein campaign?
