People who are advocating for Republican candidates are not supporters of our party and should not be nominated.

If the LP can’t get its head out of its ass and run candidates for State legislature, sheriff, etc., then perhaps nominating a well-spoken non-entity is the right way to go. Peterson can certainly string an English sentence together, and even if he has a few problems (mentioned above), he’d be a decent “point of reference” for newbies as our “standard bearer.” In the past, he worked as a tool of the corrupt, anti-liberty, insane Barr campaign, as a “volunteer coordinator” but I’ll try not to hold that against him.

Doubtful. I expect more candidates to announce. And even more than that if GJ sits it out. Not everyone wants to take a year or more out of their life to be part of the campaign circus, especially in the early stages when few people pay attention.

If Gary Johnson doesn’t seek the nomination, there’s a good chance that AP might get the nomination. Scary thought

I do get it it, I just don’t see it as a realistic cause for concern. Strikes me kind of like getting worked up about something Vermin Supreme or Deez Nuts says.

Paulie, it does… but it just bugs me. Again I admit… emotions.

How serious can he be when he boosts Rand Paul after he announces for the LP nomination?

Chuck Moulton knows him fairly well and thinks he just wants to raise his profile and build his lists.

I don’t know him quite as well, but from what I do know, that makes perfect sense.

I haven’t been able to figure out if he is serious… when my emotions get wrapped up, I am not the best judge…. and admittedly, the way he craps on the NAP gets my emotions going

I don’t think he is very serious, but he’ll make the contest more lively.

I love a lot of what he said to say. But until he completely backpedaling from his mocking of the NAP as an infantile idea (which many (most?) Libertarians hold dear) I cannot support him as a candidate as being horribly divisive to the Party which needs unity right now.
