The content here at Independent Political Report is posted and provided by volunteers. We hear at times frustration that the Libertarian Party is over-represented but that reflects the make-up of our volunteers. Are you a supporter of or interested in other minor/third parties? Please comment or reach out to one of our contributors and indicate your interest as we would love to have more diverse content.
IPR Seeks Contributors from Minor Parties

Caryn Ann Harlos
Caryn Ann Harlos is a paralegal residing in Castle Rock, Colorado and presently serving as the Region 1 Representative on the Libertarian National Committee and is a candidate for LNC Secretary at the 2018 Libertarian Party Convention. Articles posted should NOT be considered the opinions of the LNC nor always those of Caryn Ann Harlos personally. Caryn Ann's goal is to provide information on items of interest and (sometimes) controversy about the Libertarian Party and minor parties in general not to necessarily endorse the contents.

I consider myself an Independent, but I’ll pass the word around to a few third parties.
I’d like to provide articles on the Independent Green Party, Green Party Green TV show, and Green Parties.
I would be interested in writing for the Reform, Modern Whig Party or Libertarian Party.
We censor trolls, not legitimate political expression. If someone from the extreme right American Freedom Party wants to comment here, they are free to do so. If someone wants to troll with white supremacist stuff just to upset people, they will be banned. We know the difference, I assure you.
I have never censored a thing.
Part of the problem is that people who control IPR try to control comments of opposing people. (And sometimes, people who are simply not PC.)
YW. Like I said I’ll make an effort but we need more contributors.
I don’t know, but I wish they would come back.
What happened to the Greens, Constitution Party folks, etc who used to write here?
Jed! Thanks for all the alternate content to past few days.
I agree with Jed that the swastika is an anathema. I also agree with langa that parties of the extreme left seem to fare better here than do parties of the extreme right. I also agree with Jed that any alternative party regardless of its viewpoint should be fair game to be covered on this site. I applaud Caryn’s efforts to get more participation here.
Well Nazi imagery is generally viewed as offensive by general society, but these parties are part of the third party movement and covering them is kind of what IPR is all about.
I find it odd that IPR seems to have no problem whatsoever with covering extremely authoritarian left-wing parties, but apparently considers it unthinkable to cover extremely authoritarian right-wing parties.
If you ask me, the only significant difference between Nazis and commies is that commies have better PR.
It’s the logo of the American Nazi Party. I made the image a long time ago.
I am pulling the image… speaking with Warren. I don’t want a swastika up more than anyone else does. And I didn’t see it even after you first mentioned it. I thought you were seeing things.
This image was on IPR before, which is why I used it.
I didn’t see the swastika until now.. I am sure Warren will deal with the issues as they arise.
I am not familiar with the logo. I don’t know if the American Nazi Party of George Lincoln Rockwell still exists or not. I think it changed it’s name to National Socialist White People’s Party or some such thing. My point was that I didn’t think their viewpoint would be accepted here.
I’m Warren. I’m Jewish. I don’t see the swastika.
Wait … okay I see it now. Let’s worry about that if someone comes along for that party. What party is it?
I’m Warren. I’m Jewish. I don’t see the swastika.
Caryn- I was not trying to be a pain in the dupa but I just can’t imagine some Nazi posting all sorts of things that may seem reasonable to him or her that would be acceptable here. Why invite them if they won’t gain acceptance?
I did that too (I contacted through FB — and note, I don’t own this blog— I am doing this strictly as a concerned volunteer– feel free to criticize my volunteer efforts however). And readers who complain about not enough other content are on notice they are welcome to join.
Why post this in a format or website that these parties art not actively posting in already? How did you expect them to read this?
Just email or call each party and ask if they want to contribute. Indicate the number of daily, weekly, monthly unique visitors. Having a universal political blog could aid smaller parties in how others are facing debate, ballot access, or fundraising issues.
Peace
This is an image used by IPR before. I am sure Warren will take each case individual. I am just trying to drum up more content than LP.
Really? I see a logo that includes a swastika in it. Is IPR really looking for a Nazi stringer? Seems to me every time one comments here he or she is booted and the offending comments removed.
