Tonight (8/18/23) the state chairs and proxies for Region 1 held an electronic vote of no confidence in Miguel Duque as Region 1 Representative.

Per our agreement with Mr. Duque he will be stepping down voluntarily effective immediately.

5 of 7 states voted in favor of the motion. Chairman McFarland of Arizona, Vice Chairman Serrato of Oregon (proxy for Chairman Hobson), Chairman Hurley of Nevada, Chairman Goodman of Colorado, and Chairman Lorence of Nebraska.

Duque was obliged to resign. He had given his word. Period.

Granville, “they” didn’t dump Duque. Duque said he would resign if a majority of the state chairs supported a motion of no confidence. They did, and he kept resigned.

He was not obligated to resign.

It’s pretty horrible optics to note that they were able to dump Duque in an emergency session, with lightning speed, but claim to be powerless to do anything about the vile sewer known as LPNH. From what I can tell, the action on the latter account is to suggest people ignore them.

    Ted,

I agree this might help break Washington out of the MC.

Proof enough that the five state chairs that ousted the whistleblower are a bunch of morons. For sure, the national party is buried now.
