Libertarians Condemn Obama’s Unemployment Numbers

The Libertarian Party is urging Congress to consider alternative solutions to the growing economic issue, in order to create jobs to reverse the growing unemployment rate. You can read the full article here. Here’s an excerpt:

Figures released Friday by the Labor Department show unemployment rose to 9.4 percent in May from 8.9 percent in April as the number of unemployed persons increased by 787,000 to 14.5 million. Unemployment is highest among blacks (14.9 percent) and Hispanics (12.7 percent.) The number of long-term unemployed (those jobless for 27 weeks or more) increased by 268,000 over the month to 3.9 million according to the Labor Department.

So it really is true, some people do read the articles…

They knew they were going to go fight, possibly kill, and possibly die for a corrupt and evil system.

I was young and dumb when I went in. I didn’t know until I had been in a while that it was evil and corrupt.

Indeed, I was lying in a hospital bed at Balboa Naval Hospital in San Diego when somebody smuggled in some contraband, the latest issue of Playboy. The interview that month (Feb ’73) was with Milton Friedman.

From that moment on, I was a libertarian!

    PEACE

They knew they were going to go fight, possibly kill, and possibly die for a corrupt and evil system. They knew that system never took good care of anyone, ever.

I don’t think the average recruit knows all that. If they did, I reckon a lot fewer would join up.

Matt, I would strongly disagree with that.

Veterans choose a much harder path in life than the rest of us do. I know many veterans in all branches of the service in the LP, and all of them are honorable and decent people. They deserve proper care for their work–it’s a debt of honor. Their care needs go beyond the physical and into the emotional and mental, and they have a harder time coping with life beyond a war zone.

I’m not a big fan of government welfare in the slightest, but veterans care is one huge exception.

How do you know Obama considers this failure? This means more people on the teat and more power for the state. It’s just as likely he considers this a victory.

On the topic of veterans maladministration, I think it pertinent to suggest that veterans stop expecting to be administered and start taking care of themselves. They knew they were going to go fight, possibly kill, and possibly die for a corrupt and evil system. They knew that system never took good care of anyone, ever. They should’ve known better than to expect it to somehow be different for them!

Libs have been criminally silent on issues in the past. They moan and groan when no one is looking or listening [Veterans maladministration, privatization of Social Security, …..] then hide in the brush when the high profile public debate gets started.

Hurray for Libertarians. Obama, my Yokohama Moma, has acted like ANY THING BUT A CHANGE AGENT. He [just another member of the Dem/ GOP duopoly cabal] is turning into George W Bush term three in front of our disbelieving eyes.

Change we can count on? Keeping Gates [of Haydes] on at Defence, and doing tons of stuff that Georgie and President Chaney would have done.

Change we are still tearing apart the sofa cushions looking for…….

Sad to say. I did not vote for the guy [Perot, Perot, Nader, Nader, Nader] but I do not wish him [unlike my fellow Missourian, Oxycodine addict Rush Limbaugh] to fail, but he seems bound and determine!

More proof that Democans and Republicracts are not all that different!

And we haven’t seen anything yet, or so Obama said.

This is what America gets for being fooled by Obama’s Jedi Mind Trick. Fortunately most of us here on IPR were able to withstand his so-called glory.
