Bismarck — Libertarian Vice Presidential candidate Wayne Allyn Root, joined Jim Kusler and Jeff Baranick on Fox Friday Night Live to discuss his pursuit to the White House with running mate Bob Barr.

Mr. Root knows he has his work cut out for him running on a third party ticket, but was optimistic on his odds. “We are already 6 to 8 percent in the polls! We are moving fast! I think we got a shot of beating Ross Perot’s numbers and therefore get in the debates. If Bob Barr and Wayne Root get in to the presidential and vice presidential debate, watch out because anything could happen!”-said Root.

“You just don’t know when the American public finally sees someone who tells the truth, wants to cut government dramatically, and get government out of your life! Then tells you no matter what the question is.. the answer is it’s none of the governments damn business! I think the american people will love our message.”

In response to Kusler’s question regarding the challenges of a third party run, the oddsmaker had all bases covered – “I’ve seen third parties win elections against all odds with the media saying they zero chance of actually winning the election! I am a very unique politician with allot to offer the average person listening right, especially in North Dakota! I am a small business man, a home school dad, my wife and I home school our four children. I’m a citizen legislator, just like the founding fathers envisioned. I run my business, and I run my family at the same time as I run for Vice President of the United States. I am the Anti Politician! So, I think with that kind of background, I believe Bob Barr and I have a great chance to lead this party to victory!”

Root’s experience as a communicator in the media, has helped him get his message out to the average person, while still showcasing a Libertarian message. “The central theme of my entire life is to tell the people who are listening right now, this is what I stand for! Open your wallet, take a look inside, vote for me, and I promise to stay the hell out of there! That’s the central theme of my life.. is that government has no right to over reach for your money that you have worked hard for! Your money is your property! Your income is your property! You are guaranteed to keep your property in the United States constitution, it belongs to you, it does not belong to the government!”

The Libertarian Party will be on the ballot this year in North Dakota, with a goal of reaching at least 48 states this election. So, what does Root and his party offer that Obama and McCain can’t to North Dakota?

“We offer the truth! Your children, your grand children are going to be bankrupt! We can’t afford social security and medicare! Ladies and gentleman the government isn’t capable of taking care of anyone or anything, let alone the health of every person in this country! Basically, all we got out there is tweedle dee and tweedle dumb, big and bigger, dumb and dumber! McCain and Obama both want bigger government! There is only one group that wants to cut your taxes dramatically, cut government, and get the IRS out of our lives! That’s what the Libertarian party of Bob Barr and Wayne Root can do in the Dakotas!”
