The Prohibition National Committee held a conference call on August 24th. The party selected its new presidential ticket for 2020. Prohibition Party presidential Candidate, C.L. Gammon Holds Campaign Event in Tennessee

On June 8th, C.L. Gammon, the Prohibition Party presidential candidate for 2020, held a campaign event in Hartsville, Tennessee. The event was hosted by the Trousdale County Historical Society and was attended by about 50 people. C.L. Gammon spoke about his campaign and the Prohibition Party, and he responded to questions from the audience.… Read more ...

Socialist Action Party Names 2020 Presidential Ticket

The Socialist Action Party has named Jeff Mackler and Heather Bradford as its 2020 Presidential Ticket. Jeff Mackler is a former teacher, labor activist, and anti-war activist from Oakland, California. Heather Bradford is a labor, LGBT, environmental, and antiwar activist from Duluth, Minnesota.

Prohibition National Committee Meets, Gammon and Collins Selected as Presidential Ticket

On April 14th, a meeting of the Prohibition Party’s national committee was held by conference call. The committee had to select a new presidential ticket following the resignation of its initial presidential candidate, Bill Bayes, on March 30th. The PNC selected Connie (C.L.) Gammon as its new presidential candidate, and Phil Collins as its new vice-presidential candidate.… Read more ...

Prohibition Party Condemns Senator Schumer’s Call for Federal Support of the Alcohol Industry

The Prohibition Party put out  press release criticizing a speech by Senator Charles Schumer in which Schumer called for federal government  help the alcohol industry by expediting regulatory processes.

Prohibition Party of New York Responds to Governor Cuomo’s State of the State Address

On January 15th, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo delivered his annual State of the State and budget address. On January 17th, the Prohibition Party of New York responded with a 7-page document critically evaluating the governor’s address and providing their own vision and proposals for state policy.

The Prohibition Party’s National Conference will soon be coming. Typically, the presidential national conference happens during the summer of the prior to the election year. Two Green Party Congressional Candidates Advance to General Election in California Primary

On June 5th, California held its Top-Two Primaries for the 2018 elections. In two of the congressional primaries, Green Party candidates managed to get second place in primary results, and thus advance to the general election ballot. These were Kenneth Mejia in the 34th congressional district, and Rodolfo Cortez Barragan in the 40th congressional district.… Read more ...

Prohibition Party National Chairman Calls for Third Parties to Join Together in the Fight for Better Ballot Access Laws

In the latest issue of the National Prohibitionist, Prohibition Party National Chairman Rick Knox made statements on the issue of unequal ballot access laws and called for third parties and members of the public to join together in the effort of improving ballot access laws.

Howie Hawkins Announces 3rd Green Party Run for Governor of New York

Howie Hawkins has announced that he will seek to run as the Green Party candidate for Governor of New York. Hawkins was the Green Party’s candidate for governor in 2010 and 2014.
