Robocalls in Utah: McMullin is an Open Borders, Closet Gay, Son of Lesbians (so) – Vote Trump

Apparently being delivered to about 193,000 telephones in Utah.

“Hello my name is William Johnson. I am a farmer and a White Nationalist. I make this call against Evan McMullin and in support of Donald Trump. Evan McMullin is an open-borders amnesty supporter.  Evan has two mommys. His mother is a lesbian married to another woman.  Evan is okay with that. Indeed Evan supports the Supreme Court ruling legalizing gay marriage. Evan is over 40 years old and is not married, and doesn’t even have a girlfriend. I believe Evan is a closet homosexual. Don’t vote for Evan McMullin; vote for Donald Trump. He will respect all women and be a president we can all be proud of. I paid for this ad for the American National SuperPAC. 213 718 3908.”

The Daily Beast reports that McMullin has responded:

“This is another desperate attack by Trump and his racist supporters. This attack is consistent with [Trump’s] bigoted, deceitful campaign and vision for America. Utahns won’t be fooled.”

The robocall was paid for, and features the voice of, American Freedom Party chair and self-described “White Nationalist” William Johnson.

Evan McMullin and William Johnson are each graduates of Brigham Young University.

    In this crazy-ass election:

“His mother is a lesbian married to another woman. Evan is okay with that.”

is the most positive, emotionally touching thing I’ve heard about ANY candidate. . . .

    Sigh.

I often find opponent attack ads, particularly republican attacks ads, the best case for actually going down and voting for the targeted candidate…

“Candidate X is for open borders, flag burning, abortion on demand, reducing military spending, and against traditional family values…”

Damn, cue up the directions to the voting precinct…i might actually have to make an effort to go and vote for that “pariah.”

Of course, candidate X’s response ad always ruins it…

“Candidate X actually supports the Clinton plan to secure our borders, opposes flag burning, fully supports our men and women in uniform, including our veterans, and supports the 10 point Democratic plan to strengthen families and family values.”

    There are no leftists….

“As far as my mother’s marriage is concerned, I believe in the sanctity of traditional marriage. It is an important part of my faith. My mother has a different view. That is OK. I love her very much, and she is one of my best friends. She is a wonderful mother. I wish everyone could have a mother like my mom.”

    Exactly!

This same guy has done robocalls all over the country – clearly stating that he is a “white nationalist” and that he supports Trump. What is Trump’s response? Exactly what you would think it would be . . . . . . nothing.

Well yeah, because Trump is one too, only a little less explicitly. But his fans get the message.

Also, why this pervasive idea that if a guy is in his 40s, never married and no girlfriend he must be gay? Maybe he’s asexual. Maybe he’s socially awkward with women. Maybe he’s unlucky in love. Maybe he’s in between girlfriends. Maybe he has a girlfriend but they don’t want their relationship to be public. Maybe he prefers one night stands. Or porn. And, yes, maybe he’s gay and in the closet, which has nothing whatsoever to do with his qualifications for office. I’d be more concerned with his foreign policy and domestic espionage views as well as any tinge of theocratic social reactionary views he wants to make government policy. But then, since he won’t win nationally, I wouldn’t worry about that too much, since he has a shot, however small, of denying both Clinton and Trump 270 electoral votes by winning Utah.

Then again, maybe the neo-nazi scumbag voicing the commercials has other ways to know whether McMullin is a closet homosexual. Like maybe if he’s a closet homosexual himself. It’s pretty well documented that there’s a pervasive gay underground among nazis and throughout the racist movement.

Of all of the negative shit I could spew about the Trump campaign, this is the kind of crap that gets me most upset.

I’m 42, single and male. Must be gay eh? I used to be an opera singer too! Sadly for the Neo Nazis, I am straight.

Good points Paulie, and there are forums of 40 year-old virgins who support Trump and the “alt-right” and think that white nationalists are just the best, because they would protect them from competition from more attractive and less socially awkward men. They are like the rural factory workers of the dating market, or something. Of course, just like their awkward man-crushes on the pickup artists of the world, The Trumps would do nothing to help them and I’m sure look down their noses at any men who can’t “just grab” some.

If I lived in Utah I would seriously consider voting for him just on that basis alone. Any other state not so much, since he is a socially conservative neocon.

My own thoughts echo a lot of what has been said elsewhere in this comment thread.

William Johnson is a clown and lacks any shred of political tact. This can and will backfire. Can you imagine this type of call convincing a conservative Utah voter that is leaning McMullin because he is disgusted by Trump? Very few that find Trump disgusting are going to be swayed by a “White Nationalist” recording that attacks the candidate’s parents and speculates about the candidate’s sexual preferences.
