Press release at LP.org. Posted to IPR by Paulie.
LAS VEGAS – The Libertarian Party’s 2008 vice-presidential candidate Wayne Allyn Root will appear in the third hour of the “Savage Nation” radio program with Michael Savage on Wednesday, April 1 to address the controversy over a report to law enforcement prepared by a Homeland Security “fusion center” in Missouri allegedly labeling Libertarians and other political groups supporting more freedom and smaller government (such as Ron Paul supporters) as possible threats to national security.
Root calls that report “a blatant violation of civil liberties, a chilling attack on political dissent, and a threat to free speech, our Constitution, and everything this country stands for.”
Thanks to the work of the Missouri Libertarian Party, Congressman Ron Paul and 2008 Libertarian presidential nominee Bob Barr, Missouri officials have apologized for the report and are investigating why such statements were made.
You may read the letter of apology, and more information on the situation’s resolution on the Missouri Libertarian Party website at http://www.lpmo.org/media/releases/2009/PR-20090323-01.shtml
One of America’s most-listened to radio hosts, Savage’s "Savage Nation" program has 8.25 million listeners on 400 stations, putting him behind only Rush Limbaugh, National Public Radio and Sean Hannity.

mike, good for you that you can see the future.
what’s a better way to gain support: honey or vinegar?
He’s not going to debate savage or anything, he never does. He’ll be head over heals agreeing with him on all things he can find, and sucker up to be invited back. He doesn’t have it in him to do what Paul did with Downey.
grrr….
All I know is thanks to Root , all Ive been hearing from all the new folks that attended the NevadaLP convention is how he left them energized and excited about the future .
now as far Im concerned , the ways in which i disagree with him are Far less relevant than the good energy he is bringing to the table.
he literally made the day
What hostile environment? They’re both totally phony neocon types.
Good for Root. Those with long memories will remember that Ron Paul appeared on the Morton Downey, Jr. show back in 1988.
It’s all about reaching people, even in a potentially hostile environment.
Mike, what’s the alternative? Preaching to the converted leads to Shakerism!
