Green Party congressional candidate Matt Funiciello kicked off his congressional campaign on Wednesday evening, saying he wants to bring those frustrated with “the false divide of politics” into the electoral process.
“Yes there can be dissonance, but that dissonance creates something very beautiful,” he said.
Funiciello said changing national policies on health care, taxes, defense spending and economic development will be his top issues.
“We don’t have to pick up guns and have a revolution again. We can just vote differently” he said, speaking to an audience of more than 70 people at Rockhill Bakehouse Cafe, a Glens Falls business he owns.
Funiciello said he can be competitive in the race if he can raise about $80,000.
