Joy Waymire Will Seek Libertarian Party Presidential Nomination

Joy Waymire

From Joy Waymire, via the Libertarian Party of Mississippi’s Facebook group:

I am deeply humbled and honored by so many friends with their faith, support and urging, that I have decided to enter the race for the Libertarian Party’s Presidential Nomination in 2016 as of this date, June 3rd, 2015.

I am in the middle of coordinating with 4 different interview requests and once they have been done, I will post links to articles and videos. I am especially excited to be on the “Polly & Gordon” radio show broadcast from New Zealand.

I am also humbled and honored to announce that my campaign manager is: Todd Andrew Barnett; host of “Liberty Cap Talk Live” radio show; another very dear, supportive, long time friend.

For those who do not know as yet, my campaign website is: www.Joy4thepeoplesvoice.com. I will be maintaining it as time rolls on with updates, additional information or issues, etc. All contact information is there as well.

I look forward to the challenge of breaking the two-party system, but it can only be done with & by the people.

I’m sorry she’ll be working with Todd Andrew Barnett. He has been controversial for quite some time, but almost everyone I know who still had him as a friend on FB dumped him after he outed Brad Spangler’s molestation (rape) victim by name. I wonder if Joy didn’t know about that.

    From her website:

“It is not government’s place to dictate marriage. Marriage is between the Lord/Creator, a male & female soul. You do not need government’s permission by way of a license to do what is a natural right.”

The first and last sentences are lovely. The middle one made me cringe.

I certainly agree with that middle part, Robert. By calling them “souls” instead of people, she might mean something different than what she wrote. She has a unique view of life, that’s for sure.

Get this person some dentures! This dogs bite is definitely not worse than its bark!

I have no idea why she doesn’t wear her teeth. They must hurt her, or maybe she can’t afford any. This isn’t minor, IMHO. Who will take her seriously if she doesn’t even bother to make herself look her best? Whether people like to admit it or not, one’s presentation, at least initially, affects people’s opinions.

Even though we meet in the evenings at a sandwich shop, I always try to dress professionally for the monthly meetings I chair. I think it’s part of letting my group know that I take them and my speakers seriously.

    Anyway, tonight’s rant is over.

  6. William Saturn

Back in 2012 while discussing possible running mates, one Libertarian presidential candidate (a certain Teddy Roosevelt fan), had this to say about Waymire:

“Please not Joy Waymire. She is too rightist leaning and eccentric.”

In my last political race (a community college board seat in an area which straddled two counties), one county had an official voters’ pamphlet sent to all residences, and the other county didn’t. The morning before I had to go get my official photograph taken for the county voters’ pamphlet, I had a serious shaving accident – and when I corrected the other side to fix the damage, my mustache reminded some of a certain German dictator’s. (No, not Angela Merkel). I didn’t dare shave the whole thing off because then I’d look 12 years old. But when the results came in for the four-way race, I got 12% of the vote in the county where they saw the mustachelet, and 21% of the vote in the county where my face never entered their homes. There’s something to be said for that. Appearance matters.

(Moral of the Story: Next time I run for office, it’s from under my bed where they can’t see me.)

William Saturn… I thought you were on hiatus. A certain Teddy Roosevelt fan thinks you have been swept away from Saturn to … oh say, Uranus! Wazzup?

I have some comments to make regarding my role as Joy’s campaign manager and the way things have been playing in the presidential campaign and throughout the entire LP presidential race.

First things first: regarding Jill Pyeatt’s point that I “outed” a rape victim during the course of the Brad Spangler ruckus which almost decimated the entire libertarian movement due to the fact that libertarians left and right were taking sides in a fight that simply wasn’t theirs to begin with, I was given the name of the rape victim by Brad’s teenage ex-lover Kelsey Eichhorn-Fetterhoff. I didn’t ask for the rape victim’s name just SO THAT I could out her, as that was *NOT* my intention, but, since Kelsey mentioned it to me, yes, I did out it.

If “outing” a rape victim who happened to be 20 years old and who didn’t ask people to defend her, considering when I apologized to her personally for that and she wasn’t upset about it but noted it was bad timing on my part, means that I publicly point out that her identity was on Facebook as she has a profile page and happens to be friends with her father for whatever reason, then that’s a really warped definition of “outing.” After all, I didn’t break any laws regarding outing a rape victim who was 20 years old then, and no one called for my arrest considering there is no law on the books which prohibits me from doing so.

It’s funny that Jill is “sorry” that Joy has been working with me as I have been working with her and for her during the campaign with no pay. After all, it’s a thankless job for which no one receives any commendations, appreciation, and high marks.

Those “libertarians” who abandoned me because of that entire incident, when in my eyes I felt I had done nothing wrong then and given that I did what I did because that’s what investigative journalists in the media (considering I *HAD* a talk show), didn’t give a shit about Brad’s daughter prior to Spangler confessing his evil, unforgivable sin on Facebook and the same people who still think I’m the anti-Christ don’t give a shit about her at all. They didn’t give a shit about her then, and they don’t give a shit about her today. It was nothing but a popularity contest to see who can be crucified, villified, demonized, and persecuted and who would be a savior.

The movement has been in trouble for the longest time, *LONG* before what I did, and it didn’t start with me. Jill has no place to make any comments about me, considering it was never her fight, she doesn’t have any skin in that game, and it wasn’t her concern.

No one wanted to hear my side of the story. People automatically made assumptions about me and didn’t want to ask me why I did it and listen to my reasons why I did what I did. Face it: these people aren’t exactly pillars of libertarianism, and they’re not exactly pristine models of morality and ethics in the grand scheme anyway.

I was the scorn of blatant slanders, and if I had the money and resources, I’d sue the shit out of every person who went after me over that entire incident.

I’m not the person who started that entire war. Brad Spangler is the one who raped his daughter, and everyone gave him a free pass. The second libertarians came after me for revealing the identity of his daughter who once again is easily found on Facebook, the second THEY BECAME STATISTS!

And, Jill, do me a favor: STFU and leave Joy’s teeth alone! Nobody wants to hear your pissing and moaning anymore.

I’m done with my soapbox. And I’m done with everyone.

    Goodbye forever.
