(Location TBA upon RSVP)
The Santa Clara County Green Party is proud to announce that we have endorsed Jake Tonkel for San Jose City Council District 6 at our last monthly meeting. Jake is one of our Green county councilmembers and a great grassroots community organizer who’s worked on public banking and fossil fuels divestment. Join us for an evening of community, fun, food, and drinks as we kick-start this new chapter of Jake’s campaign trail!
Jake is not accepting corporate donations, this means a true grass roots campaign that requires the community’s support to make it through the 2020 primary election. No donation is too small, so please come out and give whatever you can. Every dollar, every voice and every vote counts.
Can’t Donate Right Now?
No worries! There are lots of ways to help too. You can throw a house party, knock on doors, or make phone calls. Also you can Endorse Jake, join the mailing list, and spread the word about Jake’s campaign through social media, @Jake4D6.

Call your Assembly Member to Vote YES on SB 212!
SB 212, the bill that would allow all cities, counties, and school boards, not just charter cities, to use ranked choice voting, is expecting to be voted on this week by the California Assembly. Please call your Assembly Member’s CAPITOL (not District) number to ask for a “Yes” vote on SB 212.
- Go to http://findyourrep.legislature.ca.gov/ and enter your address.
- Find their CAPITOL office# at https://www.assembly.ca.gov/assemblymembers
- Say something like: “Hi. My name is _____ and I live in Assembly Member ______’s district. I’d like him/her to vote Yes on SB 212 when it comes up for a vote. It’s a local options bill that will give cities more choices to adopt a voting system that works for them. Allowing for ranked choice voting would end the spoiler effect in local elections.”
And if you really want to get into the bill’s details (*after* your call, please!), go to:
