From James Mosher:
A Libertarian Party of Connecticut member is expected to announce his intention to run for the U.S. presidency during the party’s convention in New London next month. A press release Wednesday didn’t identify the potential candidate.
“I am pleased to announce that we have a surprise guest at our convention,” Chairman Dan Reale, who lives in Plainfield, wrote in the release. “He is a member of the Libertarian Party of Connecticut who is expected to announce his candidacy for President of the United States.”
Also speaking at the convention are 2004 presidential nominee Michael Badnarik and Senate candidate Paul Passarelli, who was previously profiled here on IPR. Other Libertarians looking at a presidential run include Jim Burns, Jim Duensing, Joy Waymire, Lee Wrights, Roger Gary, and RJ Harris.
